Two of Big Brother’s players in the US rank in the top 50 for staying in the house for the most number of days. Here is who they are and how long they spent on our favorite show.
1—Nicole Franzel (261 days in the house)
No one has spent more time in the Big Brother House than Nicole Franzel. In four separate seasons, the show veteran has been in there a total of 261 days.
Nicole was in 71 days of Big Brother 16 in 2014, all 99 days of Big Brother 18 in 2016, all 85 days of Big Brother 22: All Stars in 2020, and all 6 days of Big Brother: Reindeer Games in 2023 and was the first to spend more than 200 days in the house.
She won both Big Brother 18 and Big Brother: Reindeer Games and finished in third place on Big Brother 22. Nicole is now happily married to Victor Arroyo who she met and allied with on BB18. The two live in Nicole’s small hometown of Ubly, Michigan.
Nicole and Victor also partnered together when they were still dating on The Amazing Race 31 where the couple finished in 8th place and were eliminated in London, England in 2019. On March 16, 2021, Nicole and Victor were married in Orange Lake, Florida.
If there was another Big Brother All-Stars, Nicole would be an excellent choice and it could increase her record, but with a new boy child demanding all of her and Victor’s time, returning to Big Brother for now may be wishful thinking for the Nicole fans.
Nicole’s 261 days in the Big Brother house ranks No. 14 in the world rankings with Sascha Sirti of German holding the world record of 484 days with his two participations in Big Brother Germany 5 and Big Brother Germany 9. The top five spots are all held by German contestants.
2—Janele Pierzina (200 days in the house)
The first houseguest to reach a total of 200 days in the Big Brother house was show icon Janelle Pierzina who was also on four separate seasons of our favorite show: Big Brother 6, Big Brother 7. Big Brother 14, and Big Brother 22: All-Stars.
Janelle, now a real estate agent in Apple Valley, Minnesota, is tied for No. 44 in the world ranking with Hindi Shamita Shetty (Bigg Boss OTT 1, Big Boss 15) for the total number of days in a single Big Brother house. She was 25 years old when she first entered the house.
In Big Brother 6, Janelle lasted 76 days, in Big Brother 7 she made it 67 days, in Big Brother 14 and the Coaches season it was 34 days, and in Big Brother 22: All-Stars, Janie made it 23 days to make the 200 mark.
What’s funny is that Janelle played a decreasing number of days each season she returned (76-67-34-23) so if she plays again it may be 11 days or something. What she gets major credit for is the number of other records she has set on the show,
Janelle had the third most Power of Veto wins in a single season (5), is the only female to win multiple HoHs in All-Star seasons of Big Brother, and she has used the PoV more than any other player (6 times from 7 wins).
For context, another houseguest on that aforementioned Coaches season and Big Brother 14, Jodi Rollins was voted out on Day 1 and has the distinction of spending the fewest days in the house.
Janelle has appeared on a number of other reality TV competition shows including The Amazing Race 31, The Traitors 2, and Snake in the Grass where she was the co-winner along with former Big Brother houseguests Rachel Reilly and Cirie Fields.
