6 Big Brother couples who are happily married
No one goes on Big Brother to fall in love, and yet the hit CBS reality TV competition franchise has produced seven marriages. Fun fact, the two shows you think would have produced the most marriages, ABC’s The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, have only produced six happily married couples to date.
In the beginning, there were few Houseguests on Big Brother who met and fell in love in that camera- and Ant-filled house in Studio City. Then in Season 11, it’s like someone sprinkled fairy dust on the show and hired Cupid on production.
One husband and wife who played on Big Brother, but on different seasons and eventually married was Memphis Garrett (Big Brother 10, runner-up) and Christmas Abbott (Big Brother 19, Big Brother 22).
Engaged in June 2021 and wed in May 2022, Memphis filed for divorce from Christmas in 2024 due to irreconcilable differences.
Claire Rehfuss and Derek Xiao met on Big Brother 23, and then announced a relationship after the show had ended. The two competed on The Amazing Race 34, where the dynamic duo won the season and the $1,000,000 grand prize, traveling over 11,000 miles on the 10 legs.
Here are the six Big Brother alum who actually met on the same season and remain happily married as we sit nine months away from Big Brother 27.
Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd
On Big Brother 11, two funny contestants met when 22-year-old Jordan Lloyd, a waitress from Charlotte, North Carolina teamed up with Jeff Schroder, a 31-year-old advertising salesman from the Chicago suburb of Norridge, and had a pretty nice run on the show.
Jeff finished in fifth place and was evicted on Day 61 while Jordan made it all the way to the end and beat Natalie Martinez in the Final 2 to win the $500,000. Jeff proposed to Jordan in the Big Brother house on Big Brother 16 and the two were married on March 15, 2016.
The two have done several reality TV shows together, including The Amazing Race, Couples Therapy, and Jeff and Jordan Do America. They have two sons (Layton and Lawson), live in Denver, Colorado, and cohost the Jeff and Jordan TV podcast.
Rachel Reilly and Brendon Villegas
Rachel Reilly and Brendon Villegas met and fell in love on Season 12 of Big Brother and then returned for Season 13 where Rachel beat Porsche in an all-women’s Final 2. The two wed on September 8, 2012, and announced that they were having a baby on September 16, 2015, during an episode on Season 17.
The two have also been on other reality TV shows, with both appearing on The Amazing Race where they finished third, and Rachel—who is tied for the most sole HoH wins (4) in BB history—has also competed on Celebrity Fear Factor with Brendon where they won a $50,000 grand prize for a lung cancer charity.
Rachel also was on Snake In The Grass where she, former Big Brother icon Janelle Pierzina, and Cirie Fields (Survivor) were the winners and split the prize money, as well as being a Faithful on The Traitors 1 where she was banished on Episode 8.
Brendon and Rachel have two children—Adora Borealis and Adler Mateo—and now live happily in Birmingham, Alabama.
Daniele Donato and Dominic Briones
Daniele Donato finished as the runner-up to her dad, Evel Dick, on Big Brother 8 and then returned for Big Brother 13, where she met her future husband Dominic Briones. The two got married in January 2013 and now have two daughters, Tennessee and Lux.
One of the best players in Big Brother history with the third-most competition wins in multiple seasons of the show, Dani has won an impressive five HoHs and five PoVs.
Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo
On Big Brother 16, we first met Nicole Franzel, and on Big Brother 18—a season she won—she met her future husband Victor Arroyo. The two were married on March 16, 2021, in Orange Lake, Florida.
Nicole returned again last year for Big Brother: Reindeer Games, where she won the show and the couple have also competed on The Amazing Race 31. Victor and Nicole have one son—Victor “Arrow” Arroyo IV, born in July of 2021—and now live in Nicole’s quaint little hometown of Ubly, Michigan.
Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson
Big Brother 19 saw Jessica Graf (12th place) and Cody Nickson (11th place) fall in love and the two and like some of these other Big Brother couples, also competed on The Amazing Race on Season 30.
The couple announced they were married on October 13, 2018, at the Chateau Le Dome at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, California. Cody and Jessica now live in Texas and have four kids named Maverick, Carter, Atlas, and Gemma.
Bayleigh Dayton and Chris “Swaggy C” Williams
Bayleigh Dayton and Chris Williams—nicknamed Swaggy C—met on Big Brother 20, making if six Houseguest couples to get married in 10 years (BB11, BB12, BB13, BB18, BB19, BB20)—and the couple married on February 17, 2019, but didn’t have a formal ceremony and kept their nuptials private.
Although they were only in the Big Brother house for 23 days, Swaggy C proposed to Bayleigh during the Season 20 finale. The two welcomed a daughter into the world in 2022—named Alora—and then had a son in 2024.
Swaggy C and Bayleigh competed on The Challenge: Total Madness where Chris announced that he was done with reality TV. You can catch the two on their Swayleigh podcast.
