The first two seasons of Peacock’s reality TV show The Traitors were a big hit and the cast for The Traitors 3 was recently revealed, and as was in the first two seasons of the Alan Cumming-hosted show, two more past Houseguests from Big Brother were chosen.
Competing on The Traitors 3 —expected to start streaming on January 19—in Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands will be Britney Haynes and Danielle Reyes who are among the 21 players battling to avoid banishment and win the cash prize of up to $250,000.
In the first season, Traitors 1, Cirie Fields, won the show and the $250,000, and the 51-year-old Jersey City, New Jersey resident was chosen for the show from her time in Survivor: Panama, but eventually ended up as a contestant on Big Brother 25.
Selected as one of the show’s first two Traitors, Cirie played alongside two Big Brother legends in Rachel Reilly (Season 13) and Cody Calafiore (Season 22). On The Traitors 2, two more icons from the Big Brother franchise competed in Dan Gheesling (Big Brother 6 winner) and Janelle Pierzina (Big Brother seasons 6, 7, 14, and 22).
Trishelle Cannatella (The Real World: Las Vegas, The Challenge) and Chris “CT” Tamburello (The Real World: Paris, The Challenge) were the winners in that last season which had another Big Brother legend, Dr. Will (Big Brother 2 winner), as the host of one of the challenges.
With the Traitors 3 cast already chosen and Britney and Danielle the latest two Big Brother participants, let’s speculate on what former Houseguests might be good choices for the next installment of The Traitors, which has already been renewed for The Traitors 4 and The Traitors 5.
Taylor Hale
Taylor Hale hosted the roundtable on Big Brother 26 and finished as the runner-up on Big Brother: Reindeer Games, but the 28-year-old beauty from the suburbs of Detroit is better known for winning Big Brother 24 and being voted America’s Favorite Houseguest, the first player to ever accomplish this feat.
By doing so, Taylor won a total of $800,000 ($750,000 for winning, $50,000 for AFH) and has won the most money in Big Brother history.
So why would this former Miss Michigan and Miss USA contestant be a great choice for The Traitors 4? Many reasons. Taylor is a very popular Big Brother alum and savvy and athletic enough to navigate this unique game of survival.
Whether she would be selected as a Traitor or a Faithful, Taylor—the first Black woman to win a summer season of Big Brother—would be an excellent choice and would be able to communicate and be a good ally for both the men and the women in the castle.
Xavier Prather
Xavier Prather was the Black winner of Big Brother when he won the show a season before Taylor, taking home the $750,000 after playing a perfect game and winning by a unanimous 9 to 0 jury vote, Xavier, an attorney from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was a member of the famous The Cookout alliance which saw all six of its members as the last remaining six contestants in the house.
Xavier has three HoH wins and three PoV wins and showed he could play both the physical and social game, two things also needed to be a good player and survivor on The Traitors.
Like Taylor, Xavier also was on Big Brother: Reindeer Games, and finished in a tie for third place with Frankie Grande. His resume of being a past Big Brother winner, photogenic, and solid at both physical and mental aspects of The Traitors makes him a great candidate for the fourth (or fifth) season
Chelsie Baham
Yet another past Big Brother winner, Chelsie Baham would also be a great Traitor or Faithful on The Traitors. A 27-year-old nonprofit director from Rancho Cucamonga, California, Chelsie won Big Brother 26 and became the third player to ever play the perfect game by never having an eviction vote cast against her and winning the season by a unanimous vote (7-0).
Chelsie lasted all 90 days in the house and won four HoHs (Week 2, Week 8, Day 73, Week 12) and navigated herself to a masterful win, getting to the Final 3 with her two closest allies Makensy Manbeck (runner-up) and Cam Sullivan-Brown (third place).
Like past recent winners Taylor and Xavier, Chelsie would bring a strong resume, and like Cirie and Dan, might be an excellent choice to be an initial Traitor due to her cunning and controlling nature. If chosen, anyone watching would imagine that Chelsie was a Traitor even if she wasn’t.
Angela Murray
Another great casting choice for The Traitors 4 from past Big Brother players would be 51-year-old Utah realtor Angela Murray, one of the most entertaining Houseguests on Big Brother 26. If you want good TV chock full o’ paranoia and fake drama, Angela is your girl.
It looked like Angela would be an early evictee on BB26, but this mother survived seven nominations, won two HoHs (Week 1, Week 4), and snagged one PoV (Week 9), Angela managed to avoid so many evictions, but finally saw the door on Day 73 and finished in sixth place and was one of the three top three vote-getters for America’s Favorite Houseguest.
Odds are, Angela wouldn’t last long on The Traitors, as her paranoia, overthinking, and problems performing the physical challenges would doom her, but she would make tremendous TV and would be a great cast choice in the eyes of Big Brother fans.
Tucker Des Lauriers
One of the funniest players in Big Brother history, Tucker Des Lauriers would be another great casting choice for The Traitors 4 or The Traitors 5 for several reasons. Like Angela, Tucker simply makes great TV and you always want to keep your eyes on the 31-year-old Brooklyn resident to see what he will do next.
On Big Brother 26, Tucker didn't exactly play the best game strategically, putting a big target on his back with his brash style and winning so many competitions early on. His different beefs with Cam, Cedric Hodges, and Quinn Martin seemed senseless and made it harder to trust or be an ally with him.
Still, Tucker was a comp beast, winning three PoVs (Week 3, Week 4, Week 5) and one HoH (Week 5), but using his wins to save others as well as leaving himself up on the block after a win showed he was playing the game too fast and too hard too early.
Tucker would also be a great watch on The Traitors, and would probably do well in the physical comps but his mouth and honesty might be a liability in the social aspects of this Peacock streaming reality TV show.
