There will not be a season of Big Brother Reindeer Games in 2024

WhenBig Brotherseason 26 ended in October, many fans were hoping for news about a new season of Reindeer Games. Considering the success of the first edition of the BB spin-off in 2023, it would make sense for CBS to bring it back for another year. However, it sounds like that will not be happening.

According to a report fromEntertainment Weekly, there will not be a new season ofBig Brother Reindeer Gamesin 2024 because of scheduling issues. Rich Meehan, an executive producer forBig Brotherexplained the reasoning behind the lack ofReindeer Gamesin our 2024 holiday future. While Meehan's reasoning does make sense, it is still disappointing news for fans ofBig Brother.

"Because we started so late this season and CBS’ fall schedule starts so late this season, everything just pushes back. So if there's not airtime, there's not much you can do for that."

While we are definitely bummed out by the fact that we won't be getting another season ofBig Brother Reindeer Gamesin 2024, that doesn't mean that all hope is lost. Instead, it sounds like there have been talks about bringing the program back again. It simply didn't work out for this year.

Even the producers seemed to enjoy the firstReindeer Games,so it makes sense that they would be hopeful about it coming back. So perhaps what will happen is that CBS will go back to their slightly earlier programming schedule, and we will get to enjoy another season ofBig Brother Reindeer Gamesin 2025.

Then again, maybe the holiday inspiration will give theBig Brotherproducers a chance to play around with other holidays. Anyone else want to see an Easter edition ofBig Brother? We would be down for a Big Brother Easter Bunny battle.
