With Big Brother 30 in the not-so-distant future, here are 10 male houseguests we would love to see in Studio City for a presumptive All-Stars season. We will reveal the 10 female choices in the next story.
Donny Thompson, Big Brother 16
Donny Thompson, a houseguest on Big Brother 16, would be a great choice for an All-Stars season of Big Brother, with his affable personality and appeal to the fans. Underdog Donny was so popular he won America’s Favorite Houseguest, garnering over 5.2 million votes.
On BB16, Donny, a 42-year-old school groundskeeper from Albemarle, North Carolina, won one HoH, two BOTB, and three PoVs and was evicted on Day 70 and finished in eighth place. Now aged 53, Donny would be a nice gift to the older Big Brother fans who remember his charm and ability to somehow survive.
Enzo Palumbo, Big Brother 12, Big Brother 22
On Big Brother 12, Enzo Palumbo teamed up with Hayden Moss and Lane Elenburg in The Brigade Alliance, and this dynamic trio proceeded to make it all the way to the Final 3 where Hayden won, Lane finished as runner-up with Enzo being evicted on Day 75.
One of the funniest houseguests in the show’s history, Enzo returned for Big Brother 22 where the insurance adjuster from Bayonne, New Jersey came in second place. Having the “Meow Meow” back for another season would be a great move by production. Enzo is now 46.
Derek Xiao, Big Brother 23
Derek Xiao didn’t go as far as he possibly could on Big Brother 23, finishing in tenth place and being evicted on Day 51, but this start-up founder was a huge reason his ally (and later love interest) Claire Rehfuss lasted longer in the game (Day 65, 8th place).
Derek, now 27, won one HoH and two PoVs and he and Claire would later compete on The Amazing Race 34 where the duo won the season and the $1,000,000 prize. Derek also participated in The Challenge USA, and like Donny, would bring a nice-guy feel to the cast.
Derek Frazier, Big Brother 23
Another likable Derek, Derek Frazier was also a houseguest on Big Brother 23 and was part of the famous The Cookout Alliance, and the 29-year-old safety officer from Philadelphia ended up finishing as the runner-up and taking home $75,000 behind winner Xavier Prather who won the season by a unanimous vote.
The son of legendary heavyweight boxer Joe Frazier, Derek was nominated four times (Week 6, Week 7, Day 71, Week 12) and although he won no HoHs or PoVs, he was a good alliance member and Big D was likable enough to make it to Finale Night and would be a fun addition to a potential All-Stars season. Derek is now 33.
Xavier Prather, Big Brother 23
Yet another Big Brother 23 alum, season winner, Milwaukee attorney Xavier Prather would be a natural choice and one of the favorites to win an All-Stars season. Besides winning BB23 in a unanimous vote and with no HoH wins, Xavier was also a finalist on Big Brother: Reindeer Games in 2023 and also appeared on MTV’s The Challenge.
Xavier is now 30 and demonstrated the likeability—maybe not to Kyland Young—social and athletic game needed to navigate a successful season of Big Brother, and in his case, win $750,000 in the process.
Jag Bains, Big Brother 25
Another recent season winner, Jag Bains (Big Brother 25) would be a pretty good choice as he is also somewhat likable and noncontroversial and would finally actually have to play against a decent cast. Zing! Jag won the $750,000, beating out alliance member Matt Klotz on Finale Night.
Jag has also proven to be a survivor—on of the best attributes for both Big Brother and Survivor—as the now 26-year-old truck company owner from Washington state has the Big Brother record for winning the most competitions in a season (10), a mark just tied by Makensy Manbeck last season on Big Brother 26.
Quinn Martin, Big Brother 26
Big Brother is always better when we have a number of weird houseguests, and Big Brother 26 was chock full of them, including Quinn Martin. A superfan of the show with the name of a famous TV producer, Quinn won two HOHs, finished in ninth place, and made the Jury despite not really being a member of any of the house’s stronger alliances.
His relationship with Leah Peters—another weird one last season—was endearing and the nurse recruiter was actually pretty good at the social part of the game despite not galvanizing any army of allies to make it to the end. He was loyal to Cedric Hodges (and Leah), but could have very well formed a bigger alliance with Tucker, Rubina, Joseph, Kimo, and Angela and had a solid voting block of eight.
But he and Angela were never really on the same page, partially due to her paranoia and when he targeted Tucker, he blew up any real chances of working with him. Perhaps the show has he and Tucker both back and they decide to work together on Big Brother 30?
Tucker Des Lauriers, Big Brother 26
A slam-dunk choice for a future All-Stars season, Tucker Des Lauriers, like Enzo, is the type of houseguest you can’t take your eyes off because of their craftiness and outward sense of humor. Tucker, now 31, was a star early on last season and won one HoH, two Arenas (Week 2, Week 4), and three PoVs (Week 3, Week 4, Week 5) and survived being nominated four times (Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, Week 6).
But Tucker—who ended up winning America’s Favorite Houseguest and $50,000 (and another $20,00 as the AI Instigator—played too hard, too fast, and put his neck on the line too much when he didn’t have to and he was never smart enough to form a bigger alliance to have the numbers when “the other side” of the house would be gunning to get him out.
His romance with Rubina was a great part of the season, and it would be cool to see them both back in Studio City at some point in time although they would undoubtedly be tagged as a duo and sought to be split up because the House would know their loyalties would always lie with each other.
Hayden Moss, Big Brother 12
Like Xavier and Jag, Hayden Moss won his season (Big Brother 12) and would be another nod to the older fans. Hayden was a very likable houseguest and was smart enough to be in a solid alliance with Lane and Enzo who pretty much ran the house that season. He won by a 4-3 Jury vote.
Hayden won BB12 as a 24-year-old college student from Tempe, Arizona and now he is 38 and could surely be just as good of a physical beast as he was in The Brigade Alliance. He won four HoHs (Week 1, Day 56, Week 9, Week 10), one PoV (Week 9), and survived two Nominations (Week 4, Week 5) en route to his $500,000 win in 2010.
Cameron Hardin, Big Brother 25
Thirty-four-year-old stay-at-home-father Cameron Hardin was actually evicted from Big Brother 25 two times (Day 51 and Day 72), but the Eastman, Georgia native was endearing enough that he captured America’s Favorite Houseguest two seasons ago in 2023 and took home a cool $50,000.
Cameron, now 35, had three HoH wins (Week 4, Week 6, Week 9), won two PoVs (Week 5, Week 9), and was nominated for eviction six times (Week 2, Week 3, Week 5, Week 7, Week 8, Week 10) and ultimately lasted 72 days before getting bounced a second time.
He needed to do a better job forming an alliance—Red Utley was really the only player he was really close with—but Cameron would be a fun choice for a future Big Brother All-Stars season and like Donny, Jag, Hayden, and Derek Xiao, would be easy to like and not cause production any headaches. Now Enzo and Tucker on the other hand...
