How to vote for your favorite Dancing with the Stars season 33 contestants

A new season of Dancing with the Stars is underway on ABC with a new group of celebrities from all walks of life looking to show off their dancing skills in order to wow the judges and take home the Mirrorball Trophy at the end of the season! 

It takes a lot for the stars to make it to finale night as they’ll need to wow the judges in order to get the highest possible scores but, as any longtime fan knows, it also takes winning over the audience at home as the viewers’ votes are just as important as the judges’ score. Fans have often been the tipping point that has helped determine the winner of the season, which is why it’s so important for fans to cast their vote for their favorite couple during the season. 

Luckily, ABC has made it easier than ever before to show your support for your favorite couples on the show each week via two key methods for voting. 

Voting for the show opens at the top of the live broadcast every Tuesday night at 8/7c and is only open during the live broadcast on the East Coast. During the show’s live broadcast, fans are able to vote for their favorite couples online and by texting their vote, meaning that if you happen to be a fan on the West Coast you’re going to need to vote for your favorite couples before watching the episode. This is because the live viewer votes are combined with the judges’ score at the end of the live episode to help determine which couple is sent home. 

The live voting period typically closes before the final commercial break of the broadcast just before 10 pm ET after the final couple has danced and received their judges’ scores. 

How to vote for Dancing with the Stars online

During the live broadcast of new episodes of Dancing with the Stars, fans can head over to dwtsvote.abc.com every week in order to vote for their favorite couples. Voters must be 18 years old and be based in the United States, Puerto Rico, or Canada in order to vote on the online platform. 

Viewers get 10 votes via each voting method which means you can cast a total of 10 votes via the online voting method. Your 10 votes can be given to one couple or you can choose to divide up your 10 votes among multiple couples to spread the wealth around. Just be sure to save your votes that they are counted by ABC! 

How to vote for Dancing with the Stars via text

In addition to voting online, fans can also cast their votes for their favorite Dancing with the Stars season 33 contestants over the phone so long as they have a US wireless carrier and are located in the United States or Puerto Rico. Note: message and data rates may apply. 

To cast a vote via text, viewers will simply need to text the first name of their favorite star to 21523 in order to show their support for their favorite couples. Thankfully, it’s never been easier to vote via text as there are no changing numbers to remember. You simply need to text the name of your favorite celebrity to 21523 during the live broadcast of the show.
