Before there was slop there was peanut butter and jelly and before there were houseguests voting out each other there was a public vote and before there was Zingbot 9000 there was nothing.
It seems the only two constants on Big Brother through the years have been Julie Chen and Team Ants.
For many newer fans, show icons like Dr. Will, Mike Boogie, Evel Dick, Janelle Pierzina, and Dan Gheesling are the only names they here reminisced about. So where can recent Big Brother fans catch old episodes and seasons of the show? Here are some options.
Paramount+ essential to watch Big Brother
An ideal option for CBS and MTV reality show fans is Paramount+, a $5.99 a month (Paramount+ Essential) streaming service that serves up all past seasons of Big Brother, Survivor, The Amazing Race, and CBS’s newest reality competition show The Summit.
Paramount+ Essential is also a great option for the die-hard Big Brother fan as it also offers the 24/7 Big Brother Live Feeds and replays of the week’s three shows at the subscribers' disposal.
Besides Big Brother, The Amazing Race, and Survivor, Paramount+ Essential also has The Challenge offering up past seasons as well as replays and access to the current weekly shows. Before, you could watch The Challenge replays on the MTV website, but now the streaming services are the only places to catch it after it airs on Wednesdays.
This one is the best of the bunch for the die-hard Big Brother fan for so many reasons. If you wanted to watch Season 1, Episode 1 of Big Brother and see how it all began, you could do so quite easily for the cost of a cup of Starbucks and the click of a couple of buttons.
Amazon Prime Video
Another way to find and watch past seasons of Big Brother is Amazon Prime Video. This streaming service, owned by Amazon, is primarily known for making its own content through Amazon MGM Studios but they also host content from other providers.
Here you can buy (or “rent”) past episodes of Big Brother for $1.99 or $2.99 or full seasons (in HD or SD) for $19.59 or $19.99. You can also subscribe to Paramount+ through Amazon Prime and get access to all of the episodes and seasons along with the aforementioned Live Feeds.
Die-hard Big Brother junkies will tell you that you aren’t watching the real show if you aren’t watching the Live Feeds. Unfortunately, there is no way to watch the Live Feeds from past seasons unless you know someone who recorded every minute and that would be a technical and time-consuming nightmare.
Pluto TV
A fun and modern option to see past Big Brother episodes as well as those Live Feeds is Pluto TV, a free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) that has so much quality content reality TV junkies would love including Big Brother channel—which airs episodes non-stop—and the Survivor channel among others.
Owned and operated by the Paramount division of Paramount Global, Pluto TV also has a The Challenge channel, a The Amazing Race channel, and a Hell’s Kitchen channel for you Gordon Ramsay fans.
Although it’s free, one problem with these dedicated reality TV show channels that run episodes 24/7 is that you can’t control the episode you are watching so you are at the mercy of their own random programming. Still, it’s a great idea and gives fans and newbies a chance to catch episodes of these popular and evolving shows.
Netflix
The extremely popular streaming service Netflix also serves up past seasons of Big Brother, but for now, only has Season 6 and Season 17 and odds are they won’t be showing any more recent seasons.
Netflix has three pricing tiers, Standard with ads ($6.99 a month), Standard ($15.49 a month), and Premium ($22.99). If you are a fan looking for past Big Brother episodes and seasons, you can do better than Netflix.
Roku
Roku offers up some past seasons of Big Brother. But like Netflix, only a limited few. You can watch Big Brother Seasons 10, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, 24, and 25 there now as well as Celebrity Big Brother seasons.
Like Pluto TV, is free but you may be charged monthly or yearly fees for any premium apps you access through your account. You can get Paramount+ Essential ($7.99 per month, $59.99 per year), Netflix, and Pluto TV on Roku but not for free.
YouTube
YouTube has a Big Brother channel you can subscribe to which has full episodes available for no charge to $1.99 and up for the casual fan and is a great option for those wanting to check out some really old episodes but not be locked into a subscription service.
You can see fun episodes like Big Brother 3, Episode 3, Big Brother 4, Episode 19, Big Brother 6 Episode 27 and Big Brother 9 - Episode 2 all for free on this channel. This would be an ideal option for an old fan wanting to reminisce on early seasons or a new fan wanting to see what the show was like earlier this millennium.
Other places like Fandango at Home also offer up some past Big Brother content.
