Episode nine begins with the tribe returning to the Beka camp following Sierra being voted out at the most recent tribal council. Sam thanks the tribe for keeping him around, but behind-the-scene is very upset with former Lavo and Andy for turning on them.

Rachel and Sam decide they need to play separately but want to have each other's back down the line in order to reduce the current target on their backs.

Andy lets Sam know that he felt alone at the merge and flipped on him and Sierra in order to better his game. Andy also tells Sam that he was the one who spoke up in order to make sure Sam stayed in the game and Sierra was the one voted out.

Rachel and Andy discuss their former Gata tribe and how the two of them have yet to really work together; they both agree that it is time for them to truly work side-by-side.

The Immunity Challenge

A message is sent to camp telling the tribe that only one person will win individual immunity but that they need to split into five separate pairs for the challenge. The five pairs are Sam and Andy, Kyle and Gabe, Sue and Genevieve, Rachel and Caroline, and Teeny and Sol.

The immunity challenge has three parts. Part one is a sand obstacle where puzzle steps are collected by each pair one by one, and then together, they need to dig up the remaining pieces from a sand pit. The final two pairs remaining will be eliminated and not move on to part two.

In part two, the remaining pairs will have to use the puzzle piece stairs in order to build a staircase and cross a balance beam, the first two pairs to finish will advance to the final stage. The final stage will split the two pairs into four individuals, where they will each hold themselves on walls with very narrow footholes that get more and more narrow as they go. The last to fall wins.

The final four remaining will receive a picnic reward back at camp and the first two pairs eliminated will lose their votes at tribal, but will take a journey will a chance to reclaim their vote.

Andy and Sam and Rachel and Caroline are eliminated after part one. Part two is a very close finish between Kyle and Gabe and Sol and Teeny. Sue and Genevieve, who led the majority of the way, are eliminated. In part three, Teeny is first to fall followed immediately by Sol. Gabe is up against Kyle, who eventually falls as well on the final foot hole, giving Gabe his first individual immunity.

The Journey/Return to Camp

Sam, Andy, Rachel, and Caroline are immediately sent on their journey where they discover they will compete against one another, and only three of them will reclaim their vote.

Back at camp, while the final four are on their picnic and talking about targeting Sam for the week, Genevieve and Sue are at camp alone and discuss Sol wanting to target Gabe prior to the challenge and plan to potentially blindside Sol this week instead.

When asked by the others, returning from reward, Genevieve and Sue agree to Sam going. Genevieve then goes to Gabe and fills him in on Sol wanting him gone and the new plan to vote Sol out. Gabe agrees to this plan and they fill Kyle in as well.

Back at the journey, the competition is stacking a single-card tower one card at a time, if the tower falls during your turn, you lose and return to camp without a vote. The tower eventually falls during Caroline's turn. The journeygoers also discuss a plan for the vote this week, thinking it should be a straightforward vote for Kyle with him finally losing an individual immunity challenge.

Chaos at Camp

Everyone is now back at camp and it is revealed that Caroline lost her vote. This makes the plan to vote Sol out a bit more difficult as they currently only have four of the five votes needed to secure the blindside. Genevive goes to both Andy and then Rachel trying to bring them in on the plan to vote Sol out, both are unsure of which direction to go in.

Sam talks to Rachel and is able to put together who Rachel is working with and confirms his suspicion that they are going to blindside Sol. Sam decides he is going to stir the pot and immediately goes to Sol with this information. Sol is shocked.

Sam believes with Sol on his side, they can round up enough votes to flip the vote on Sue. Sol informs Teeny of his newfound intel and the plan to vote Sue out. Teeny attempts to recruit Genevieve, who puts the plan to get Sol out together, and Sam attempts to do the same with Andy.

in a crazy panic about where the vote is going right before heading to the tribal council, there are now discussions of targeting Kyle instead of Sue.

Tribal Council: Sol is voted out this week

While Jeff is leading the discussion about events this week at camp, there are constant whispers about the looming vote. It seems that everyone is still quite unsure of where the votes are going. The names of Sue, Kyle, and Sol are still floating around.

We head to the vote. Six votes are revealed, five are for Sol, and one is for Sure, which is enough for Sol to be voted out and become the second member of the Survivor 47 jury. Post-credits it is shown that it was an 8-1 vote for Sol.
