The Traitors is one the most popular new reality shows of the past few years! Now, fans want to know what's happening with The Traitors season 3, when it's coming out, and who's in the cast. Luckily, we have a few answers to share!

So far, we've seen two seasons of The Traitors on Peacock. The first season premiered on the streaming service on Jan. 12, 2022. The second season followed exactly one year later on Jan. 12, 2023.

We shared everything we know about The Traitors on season 3!

Alan Cumming is back as the host of The Traitors in season 3

Think The Traitors would switch up the host of the hit series just when it's getting great? Think again!

Alan Cumming, who has been the host of the first two seasons of The Traitors, will return as the host in the third season of the Peacock series. We've known Cumming would return as host for a long time. I believe that was confirmed in the season 3 renewal.

Cumming, who just won an Emmy for hosting The Traitors this year, spoke to Laverne Cox of E! News on the red carpet during the 2024 Emmys in September 2024.

"Well, it's brutal, let me say," Cumming said.

Cumming revealed that some of the season's big stars get taken out early in the season, and that it's a "blood bath." Uh oh!

Cumming also revealed that it starts as a blood bath, but "then gets really lovely." I don't really know what that means, but I can't wait to watch!

The Traitors season 3 has already been filmed

The Traitors was renewed for season 3 as the second season aired in early 2024. The series started filming in the summer of 2024. We don't know the official dates, but Cumming announced the cast, which is coming up shortly, in June 2024. Filming was just starting around that time, and it's since wrapped, as Cox mentioned to Cumming on the red carpet at the Emmys.

The Traitors isn't a super-long shoot for a reality show, which is good! I feel like the longer the seasons, the fewer the people who want to be involved. The Traitors is getting the biggest reality TV stars and having short-ish production windows definitely helps with casting.

Has Peacock announced The Traitors season 3 release date yet?

The Traitors season 3 has been filmed, so why isn't it on Peacock then? Well, that's just how TV and film works! There's lots of work to be done after filming.

Unfortunately, there's no official release date for The Traitors season 3 so far, but we should be getting that announcement soon.

Everyone is expecting The Traitors season 3 to premiere in January 2025. That's when we've seen the first two seasons. As mentioned, they were released on the same day on Peacock one year apart.

We'd love if we got the new season of The Traitors later this year, but it seems like it's destined for a 2025 premiere. We'll share the official release date when we find out.

The Traitors season 3 cast

In June, Alan Cumming announced The Traitors season 3 cast!

The Traitors season 3 cast looks like it has the potential to be the best cast so far. Everyone in the reality TV world wants to play this new game. It's, like, the thing to do right now, apparently.

We shared the full cast of The Traitors season 3 and where you might recognize them.

  • Bob Harper (The Biggest Loser host)
  • Bob the Drag Queen (RuPaul's Drag Race)
  • Boston Rob Mariano (Survivor)
  • Britney Hayes (Big Brother season 12)
  • Carolyn Wiger (Survivor 44)
  • Chanel Iyan (The Real Housewives of Dubai)
  • Chrishell Strause (Selling Sunset)
  • Ciara Miller (Summer House)
  • Danielle Reyes (Big Brother season 3)
  • Dolores Catania (The Real Housewives of New Jersey)
  • Dorinda Medley (The Real Housewives of New York)
  • Dylan Efron (Influencer)
  • Gabby Windey (The Bachelorette)
  • Jeremy Collins (Survivor)
  • Lord Ivar Mountbatten (British Royals)
  • Nikki Garcia (WWE)
  • Robyn Dixon (The Real Housewives of the Potomac)

  • Wells Adams (The Bachelorette)

I have a lot of thoughts about this cast as it pertains to The Traitors, and I have a few qualms. Mainly, I think this show should include more competitive reality stars and fewer stars of the dating/day-in-the-life reality stars. The gameplay would improve so much!

That's my first thought.

My second thought, looking at the cast, is that we'll probably see another Survivor player win this season of The Traitors. Cirie Fields, the Survivor legend, won The Traitors season 1. Survivor fans are used to Cirie working her magic, winning people over, and making things happen, and that's exactly what she did in The Traitors season 1.

There are some serious Survivor players in this cast. Boston Rob is the player who has played Survivor more than any other player. He's spent more days on the island competing than anyone else. He's also competed on a bunch of other reality shows, including The Amazing Race, Deal or No Deal Island, and more. Jeremy Collins won a season of Survivor and has held his own in that game against the best of the best. Carolyn Wiger finished runner-up on her season, but she easily could have won. And, I have yet to mention the player with the most Survivor wins in history (a title he shares with The Traitors season 2 star Sandra Diaz-Twine). So, I have a feeling one of these four players will win The Traitors. This kind of thing is their bread and butter.

I also write for the FanSided site Surviving Tribal and cover Survivor weekly. In other words, I worship at the altar of Jeff Probst. I'm loyal and can't root against my favs, you know? You also have to watch out for Big Brother stars Britney Hayes and Danielle Reyes!

Anyway, there are a lot of big personalities in this group. There's going to be a lot of clashing, friction, and drama, and I can't wait to see how it all plays out.

The Traitors season 3 returns to Peacock early next year! Stay tuned for more news about the series.
