With Survivor legend Cirie Fields crossing over to the world of Big Brother, it made us wonder what the crossover would look like if it were the other way around. After all, if one can handle the crazy twists and turns within the house, one should be able to handle whatever Jeff Probst throws in their direction. Also, with how much social pressure the game requires, being able to maneuver alliances on Survivor will be something Big Brother alums will know a thing or two about.
Of course, not every Big Brother player who has played the game would even want to imagine themselves on Survivor. However, there are those that we know love a challenge and would be willing to do anything to make it to the end.
Big Brother players who would thrive on Survivor
Thriving on Survivor is much different than it is on Big Brother since players on the former are playing to have access to basic necessities, making them far more easily irritated and desperate to play a selfish game. Even so, we believe these five houseguests have it in them to shed off whatever they've learned from Big Brother and adapt very well to a new environment.
Without further ado, here are former Big Brother players would love to see play on Survivor.
Xavier Prather
Xavier Prather's strengths are that he's smart but also very level-headed. In the face of conflict and low blows, he exhibited restraint to not ruin his relationships with others in the house. Because of his ability to think before he speaks, we think he would do a fantastic job at being the person everyone can rely on and want to keep in the game.
As far as his competitive spirit, Xavier definitely embodies someone with that hunger to win since he not only won his fair share of competitions on Big Brother but also went on to compete on The Challenge, one of the most grueling competition shows ever. In this sense, we're sure winning competitions on Survivor would be a breeze.
Dan Gheesling
Dan Gheesling made history on Big Brother by being an under-the-radar player who didn't need to win any competitions to secure his overall victory in his season. His strength, often coined as "Dan's Mist", is that he has a way of being someone who very few deem as a threat and resembles water vapor in the way that he's practically invisible but you know he's there. Even so, Dan always knew the best times to speak up to position himself in favor of the house.
If he ever played on Survivor, we believe his mist will come in handy because, more times than not, the loud and outgoing competitors are the ones who paint the largest targets on their backs, while the quieter type know how to mingle their way to the final spots. Simply put, Dan's Mist is a skill that can transcend reality shows.
Tucker Des Lauriers
Should there ever be a season of Survivor without a puzzle competition, we'll tell Tucker Des Lauriers to hit the road because we know for a fact that Tucker would dominate any and every puzzle. He's also probably going to excel at the more endurance/strength-based competitions because he has the physical capabilities to be able to do so. A mental and physical threat like Tucker wouldn't struggle on Survivor in the slightest.
The only place where we think Tucker might run into some issues is, of course, the overconfidence. Should his fellow tribal members get a whiff that he thinks he's too safe in the game, they'll easily take him out. Or if there's any moment he puts his own game in jeopardy by either talking too much or taking unnecessary risks, he's dead meat. Hopefully, by then Tucker would have learned the power of playing it safe.
Paul Abrahamian
No matter what you may think of Paul Abrahamian, one of the most controversial players to ever grace Big Brother, one thing for sure is that they are a force to be reckoned with, especially when it comes to their social game. For example, in both seasons they were featured in, they managed to come runner-up despite the entire house knowing how much of a threat they were and despite them ruffling far too many feathers. A person who can swindle the Big Brother house to keep them even though there are no real benefits to doing so is someone who should be feared.
During Paul's run on Big Brother, they won competitions when they absolutely needed to, proving that they know how to continue to advance forward in the game without ever painting too big of a target on their back. All in all, Paul is incredibly clever. So much so that, out of everyone on this list, we could clearly see them being someone Survivor fans would welcome in with open arms.
Taylor Hale
Known as the queen of enduring and persisting no matter what is thrown her way, Taylor Hale has all the qualities that we know make a Survivor champion.
During her season, Taylor saw the eviction block so many times. It felt like every week, someone wanted her to go home for a reason that was usually rooted in baseless rumors or just mean-spirited behavior. Despite this, however, she rose above, maintaining grace and humility. She never used her anger or frustration against others nor did she ever bend the knee and become helpless. Instead, she used her inner power to push forward and make it to the end.
Taylor's social game may have suffered in the Big Brother house for reasons beyond her control, but we know that, if she's able to be her authentic self, she will be the selfless leader everyone can trust. (She also gets a bonus for being a pretty good comp beast!)
Perhaps one day we will see to it that Survivor and Big Brother crossover yet again. If so, we hope to see one (if not, all) of these former houseguests front and center on those islands!
