7 Big Brother contestants who would be great on The Challenge
Considering that CBS and MTV are part of the same parent company, it likely comes as no surprise that over the last few years, The Challenge has been pulling contestants from some of the other CBS reality shows, including Survivor and Big Brother. And if you have been watching some of these new Challenge recruits, you might agree that there are quite a few Big Brother players who have stepped up and proven that they have what it takes to take on the legends.
While it has felt like the last few seasons have seen a significant lack of new Big Brother recruits to The Challenge, we still think there are a few players who would make a great addition to the show. This includes players from season 26 of Big Brother. So who could be the next Paulie Calafiore or Kaycee Clark? Who could give the OG Challengers a run for their money?
Honestly, it takes time to build your Challenge resume, but at this point, there are some players from the Big Brother house who might just have what it takes to go the distance. But who are they?
Joseph Abdin
Joseph Abdin from season 24 of Big Brother might not seem like an obvious choice, but he certainly made a name for himself. Part of that had to do with his relationship with Taylor Hale, but it also helped that he seemed to understand how to play the game. And considering we are still talking about him on BB Twitter (or is it BB X now?), it seems like he would have a bit of a fan base cheering him on.
Cedric Hodges
While Cedric might have been the fourth player voted out of season 26, he played hard. In fact, his gameplay made him a bit of a threat to the house and it was why he had to go early. But in that short time, he showcased an ability to take on rough challenges and win. It actually makes sense that he might do well on a show like The Challenge. And it certainly seemed like he knew how to form strong alliances, even if he kept imploding on Big Brother. (It's really not his fault that this season was unlike any other in terms of how alliances seemed to play out.)
Tucker Des Lauriers
Much like with Cedric, Tucker was another player who played hard rather quickly in the game. He also didn't make it far in season 26, as he was the sixth contestant sent home. Honestly, his gameplay felt a lot like a Bananas, which could be a good thing in terms of giving him a potential leg up on The Challenge. Tucker himself mentioned potentially playing The Challenge on the Live Feeds, so it would be extremely interesting to see if he is able to make that happen with his interesting (and rather hardcore) gameplay.
Cody Calafiore
I could be alone in this, but I would love to see Cody Calafiore take on his brother on The Challenge. In fact, I think he could be an interesting player because of his ability to charm people. Considering we have seen him win Big Brother, we know he has what it takes to play these kinds of games. And while he may not have been able to pull off the art of being a traitor on The Traitors, I think The Challenge might be worth playing for Cody.
Christmas Abbott
Since her first introduction, Christmas Abbott was able to make a name for herself as a Big Brother player. If she hadn't, she wouldn't have been asked back for season 22's All-Stars version of Big Brother. In both seasons she was on, she showcased how she could be a great addition to The Challenge since she knew how to play hard and make connections.
Quinn Martin
While he might not have seemed like he would have what it takes to play a hardcore game, Quinn was definitely a bit of a beast with the challenges. He also had the ability to game that allowed him to make it to the Jury house, even when some of the other contestants who also played a bit too hard couldn't go the distance. It just seems like Quinn might have both the mental and physical aspects needed to be able to not only handle a Challenge but potentially even run a final.
Blue Kim
I think Blue's personality would actually get her far in a Challenge house. At the same time, she had her moments where she was able to shine in competitions. So it actually seems like she has what it takes to take on some of the MTV OGs and maybe even win them over. Plus, she would likely have an alliance formed so quickly that no one would even know that she was sticking around until the very end.
