10 of the best judges to turn a chair on The Voice
For 25 seasons, The Voice on NBC has been giving us top-tier musical talent and competition. And a big part of that is thanks to the judges and the iconic chair turn. But with The Voice being an international franchise, there are at least 77 countries or regions that have taken part in this competition, with over 600 winners worldwide.
This means that there have been a lot of judges who have sat in a chair for The Voice. So who have been some of our favorite judges? And who do we love to see pressing the button and turning a chair on our screens?
Considering we haven't seen every single version of The Voice, this list is far from complete or exhaustive. But here are 10 of our favorite judges, who we think are some of the very best, to have turned the chair on The Voice.
10 of the best judges from The Voice
Reba McEntire (The Voice US) - Reba McEntire is a legend and an icon and having her mentor new voices is a beautiful thing to see. And she does it in a way that makes it clear that she cares about her team.
Guy Sebastian (The Voice Australia) - Considering he rose to fame after winning Australia's version of Idol, he knows what it is like to be in a musical competition. And he proves that over and over again as he coaches his team.
Seal (The Voice Australia) - With his global success, it makes sense that he would be a brilliant coach for a singing competition. And he was a great mentor to the people on his team over the years.
Sir Tom Jones (The Voice UK) - He is an icon and a legend, so having Sir Tom Jones as a coach has to be a dream for so many. And we love that for them. He was such a great addition to the show and we are so glad he is still part of the show and mentoring teams of singers.
Kylie Minogue (The Voice Australia and UK) - Kylie Minogue as a mentor is so much fun to watch and the fact that she has been part of two different versions of the show was actually pretty exciting as a fan of the singer.
Jennifer Hudson (The Voice UK and US) - Considering her time on American Idol, it makes sense that Jennifer Hudson would be a brilliant mentor for people on The Voice. With her talent and drive, she was the perfect coach for her teams. And we just loved to see her as a judge on both sides of the pond.
Usher (The Voice US) - Honestly, I am such a big fan of Usher and his music that I knew I would be a fan of his as a mentor no matter what. But I was thrilled to see how he worked with his teams and helped to grow them as singers and performers. It made for a great show and one that made it clear that he really did care.
Kelly Clarkson (The Voice US) - Considering Kelly Clarkson won the very first American Idol and has gone on to have a rather impressive career all around, having her as a judge on The Voice made perfect sense. She had so much compassion for her team that you just knew that she would make a difference for these people when it came to helping them in the future as well.
John Legend (The Voice US) - John Legend is so talented that it is impossible to deny that when he turns that chair, you know that this singer has struck a bit of musical gold. It is always interesting to see what he has to say and how he guides his team.
Snoop Dogg - Honestly, 2024 might be his first season as a coach and judge, but Snoop Dogg has already made watching The Voice fun again. He brings such an energy to everything that he does that it is clear that he might be one of those judges we want to see on every season.
I have to say that I really wanted to include Michael Buble on this list as well, but much like Snoop Dogg, 2024 is his first season. And it doesn't seem fair to have two brand new judges on the list when there have been so many amazing talents helping to give rising stars a chance to shine and grow.
We can't wait to see who else might get a chance to sit in the iconic chairs for The Voice and change someone else's life.
