This season of Big Brother has without a doubt had its' fair share of highs and lows. While I wouldn't consider the cast of Big Brother 26 to be a standout one, I would, however, argue that at least three of this season's best deserve a second chance.
As we all know, Big Brother loves to do seasons of returning players, or have fan-favorite houseguests return to the house for a second, third, or even fourth opportunity to win Big Brother. Now, I'm definitely not suggesting any of these players return for an All-Stars type season quite yet, I do believe they did enough to earn another shot.
1. Tucker Des Lauriers
If CBS invites back one player from season 26, it should and likely will be Tucker. Tucker was the life of the season, he may not have played the smartest, most strategic game, but he sure played a fun game. Tucker was one of the biggest wild cards we've seen in quite some time, you never knew what he was going to do, and we all loved that (see the 20k America awarded him).
Sure, Tucker's early exit was mostly his own doing and he absolutely could have stuck around a bit longer if he had taken a breath and didn't offer himself to the block. AGAIN. I say give him another shot, Tucker showed a keen ability to read his housemates and some flashes of high-level gamesmanship; maybe he will learn from his mistakes and come to win next time around. Regardless, Tucker is great TV and he knows that, at the very least it will be a good time!
2. Quinn Martin
While Quinn wasn't exactly my Big Brother cup of tea, I have to give him props. Big Brother super fans don't often work out from a game perspective, Quinn, on the other hand, came to play. Quinn, like Tucker, played a messy game, but he played the game! Quinn made and broke alliances, formed strong relationships, and was Tucker's main foil.
Had it not been for Tucker sniffing Quinn out as a major threat and putting him on blast in front of the entire house, we could be talking about Quinn as the potential winner of this season. If Quinn is afforded another opportunity, I believe he has the ability to make the proper adjustments and play a tighter game on a second go-around.
3. Chelsie Baham
While the season isn't quite over yet, I think it's pretty clear that Chelsie has been playing the best game for quite some time and will likely walk away as the winner of Big Brother 26. Chelsie has virtually weaponized her ability to form strong bonds with others. While it is clear as day to the viewer that Cam is Chelsie's number one, she still has players like Makensy doing her dirty work, thinking they're a final two.
Despite it not being in her interest whatsoever, Chelsie convinced Makensy to put Leah, one of her closest allies, on the block and send her off to the jury. That's just one of the few examples of Chelsie's ability to pull strings this season; if Chelsie can come away with the victory come finale night, she may be the one player from season 26 worthy of not just a return, but a return for a big-time season!
