Does Dr. Will Kirby have what it takes to handle Deal or No Deal Island?

He may be considered one of the greatest Big Brother players of all time, but does that translate to Deal or No Deal Island?

Season 2 of Deal or No Deal Island premieres on January 7 and with it comes a new batch of players determined to win. Among those players are some reality TV legends, including one of the best Big Brother players of all time, Dr. Will Kirby.

While Kirby may have won his season of Big Brother, that doesn't mean that he will have a leg up on the competition. After all, unlike any number of reality TV competitors, he hasn't actually done a competition show in the last 20 years.

Although he has remained an ever-present part of Big Brother, even popping up in episodes as a reminder to the players of what one can achieve if they play the game with intention and cunning, that doesn't mean that he has been the one getting his hands dirty (metaphorically speaking). So having him step back into a competitive reality series is both a shock and a delight.

Can Dr. Will Kirby take what made him a brilliant Big Brother player and win Deal or No Deal Island?

We really want to see how well Will Kirby handles the pressure of Deal or No Deal Island. And not only that, but we can't wait to see how he handles the down and dirty jungle challenges where he has to contend with things like snakes, mud, and swinging through trees. Although we may not know if the same challenges from Season 1 will appear in Season 2, we can't help but think that the second season is bound to be more difficult.

All of this is to say that we are torn over how well we think Kirby will do on Deal or No Deal Island. The thing about Dr. Will is that he knows how to get into people's heads. He knows how to get people to do his dirty work. And not only that, but he is truly one of the more strategic reality competitors we have ever seen play any game. However, there is more to Deal or No Deal Island than strategy and mind games.

If Dr. Will Kirby wants to be the final player standing at the end of Deal or No Deal Island, he is going to have to get down in the mud and play the games. He can't just let other people do things and hope to get to the end on his psychological game alone.

There is no denying that Kirby is a competitor, but at this point, we need to see if he can handle a Survivor level game versus a Big Brother level game. He has what it takes to win it all, but only if he can handle rolling in the mud.
