Crime Scene Kitchen's Starlett & Kai seem to have figured out the mystery of the kitchen
Crime Scene Kitchen on FOX might just be one of the most interesting baking competitions on TV right now. We are talking about clues to what could have been baked and a duo working together to figure out what that mystery dessert actually is and recreating it for the judges.
Season 3 of Crime Scene Kitchen has definitely seen some struggles in the kitchen, especially with the family bakers, as they had a week where every single duo got the crime scene dessert wrong. So heading into episode 5 and the final bake before the teams of family merge with the teams of friends (they still have to do their final bake before the merge), we were worried about how people were doing in this competition.
However, as the episode started, it quickly became clear that the safety bake was one that every team could figure out with the clues. The only thing that was up for discussion was the flavor profile. And even then, only one team messed up when it came to the flavor they chose.
Starlett and Kai have showcased their mastery of the Crime Scene Kitchen in episode 5
Since their first episode, Starlett and Kai have struggled a bit with the crime scene kitchen clues. And yet, in episode 5 they truly came together and figured out the bake perfectly. For the first time this season, this mother and daughter duo were able to expertly read the clues and bake the dessert that Yolanda created in the kitchen.
This meant that not only did Starlett and Kai win the safety bake round, but they also punched their ticket straight into the merge. They proved that they can figure out what is being baked and recreate it for themselves.
Now we are just hoping that they can keep it up moving forward, especially once they have to go up against the groups of friends. Kai and Starlett are so much fun to watch and we love how Joel seems to always call out the side eye that Kai delivers every time he steps into their kitchen. So we want this duo to go far on Crime Scene Kitchen.
