Big Brother 26 houseguest Angela Murray was evicted from after many weeks of playing all sides of the house. However, this is not her first time on television. Her history on TV consists of game shows and shows that were big at the time of airing. This is the first time she has been the subject of controversy while she has been in the limelight.
Before Big Brother, she appeared on television that had different viewer content. Her first show was Let's Make a Deal, which she appeared on twice. She did not win big, but the curlers in her hair made her stand out. Her next television appearance came in 2019 on the Price is Right. She made it down to the contestant's row, bidding on a tea and coffee maker set, but failed to guess the right amount. Finally, she was on a 2021 episode of Dr. Phil's House Calls to discuss her daughter.
She then became a known subject in season 26 of Big Brother. Since day one in the house, she created drama by insinuating that fellow houseguest Matt Hardfeman was sure to end up in a showmance. This escalated quickly and she intended to drag it on as long as she could, calling him "crazy eyes" numerous times. This would cause Matt to be evicted from the house soon after.
Angela was one of the more memorable houseguests this season
Shortly after the season started, she constantly cried but failed to produce tears, and this happened on many occasions. She would later reveal that she was unable to make herself cry to get the other houseguests to feel sorry for her and keep her in the game. The houseguests caught on to this down the road and refused to give in to her drama.
Later in the season, she was caught lying several times and, when confronted, tried to defend herself, only to make it worse for herself. This happened during her involvement with her two alliances, the Lorraines and Sixth Avenue. In addition, there were rumors of her bullying houseguests during her 73-day tenure in the house.
Besides her drama and controversies, she was a competitor in the house. She did win two HOHs (Head of Household) in weeks 1 and 4. She was, however, nominated seven times for eviction, those nominations coming in weeks 3, 6, 7, 8, 10, and on day 73. She also won the Veto in week 9 but was the first player to be vetoed off the block three times.
With her television history and her recent Big Brother appearance, there have been rumors that she is a CBS plant, where they would pick a player to stand out in a show, as all of her previous television experience came on CBS. The 51-year-old real estate agent has not confirmed or denied those allegations.
Don't miss the Big Brother season 26 finale on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 9:00 p.m. ET.
