4 former pro athletes who competed in Celebrity Big Brother
Big Brother has been a successful reality show for years and it does not seem to be slowing down.
Over the years, we have seen a few faces who have appeared on other reality shows and have had success there. Celebrity Big Brother is a different beast, as it takes players who have had success in some avenue from sports to Hollywood and puts them in the house to play with the same rules as the original Big Brother.
Four of these celebrities have been pro athletes who have had success in their specific sport. Below are those four athletes, along with their fate in the Big Brother house along with their achievements in their respective fields.
Chuck LIddell: Retired UFC fighter
Chuck "Iceman" Liddell competed in the first season of Celebrity Big Brother. His stay did not last long as he was the first houseguest evicted from the game. In his time in the octagon, he had a mixed martial arts (MMA) record of 16-8 and a kickboxing record of 20-2. A former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion, he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame on July 10, 2019.
Natalie Eva-Marie: Former pro wrestler
Natalie Eva-Marie is a former pro wrestler who competed in the second season of Celebrity Big Brother. She lasted a while in the house but was the seventh player evicted. Her wrestling career was primarily with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and lasted from 2013-17 and again from 2020-2021. As a former pro wrestler, she now finds her time as a fashion designer, model, and actress.
Metta Sandiford-Artest: Former NBA star
Formally known as Ron Artest and Metta World Peace, Metta Sandiford-Artest competed in the first season of Celebrity Big Brother and was the seventh player evicted. In his National Basketball Association (NBA) career, he played for the Chicago Bulls, Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, New York Knicks, and Indiana Pacers, He won an NBA championship in 2010 with the Lakers and was an NBA All-Star in 2004.
Ricky Williams: Retired NFL star
Ricky Williams participated in the second season of Celebrity Big Brother and finished in second place behind Tamar Braxton As a running back in the NFL, he played previously for the New Orleans Saints, Miami Dolphins, and Baltimore Ravens. Williams was the fifth overall pick in the 1999 NFL Draft by the Saints. He would also play in the Canadian Football League (CFL) during the 2006 season when he was suspended by the NFL for failing a drug test for the fourth time in his career. After his stint in the CFL, he would shortly return to the NFL before retiring after the 2012 season.
