4 Big Brother questions that surround season 27
Big Brother season 26 only ended a month ago with Chelsie Baham winning the big prize. Immediately after, we turned our attention to Big Brother 27 after Julie Chen Moonves announced the show was returning next summer. While we do not have the season 27 premiere date, there are four questions about the upcoming season.
Will Julie Chen Moonves be returning as host?
While there has been no indication that she will leave, she has been there since day one of the show. One has to wonder if she is done with the show, or if she wants to continue on. She has missed only one episode due to COVID-19 and that was recently. Is it time for a new host? Or will she be back for season 27? She has been tremendous as the host and has asked the important questions, but as she says, "expect the unexpected."
What will the schedule be?
Big Brother has had different schedules since its first season. From different days to varying lengths of episodes, a show running this long has made adjustments to fan demand. Will the show remain on running three days a week? Or will they make changes and provide only two episodes a week? What about time, will it be an hour, thirty minutes, or two hours? This will be interesting to see what format they choose as a new season is not that far away.
What new twists will be added this season?
Over the years, we have seen several twists to change up the game. From adding the AI Arena to putting three houseguests up for eviction, The game changes in some way every season. To keep things fresh, Big Brother has added games while taking some things away. Next season should be no different as we should expect changes in some way. Will they add, or subtract, something to benefit the players or the game itself? Will these changes affect how the game is played?
Will the AI Arena return?
The AI Arena was a new addition in season 26 and it turned out to be a benefit throughout the game. Three nominees for eviction instead of two, the winner of the AI Arena battles were immediately removed from eviction and were allowed back in the game. An interesting twist, but it provided additional excitement to the game. This seems like something they would keep in the game, yet changes happen every season. Will it stay or will it go? It should stay because it has more benefits to the outcome.
Big Brother is still one of, if not the best, reality show. However, like most things, change is necessary to keep things flowing and people interested. What changes, if any, will be made for season 27 of Big Brother? The next couple of months should be interesting as news should be spilling over in time for the new season.
