3 recent Big Brother players that deserve a second chance

All three of these players deserve a second opportunity to play Big Brother. Here's why.

With Big Brother 26 recently coming to an end, I'd like to throw out a few names, three to be exact, from recent seasons that deserve a second opportunity to play the game. Now, I'm not talking about all-star quality players, though, I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of these players did wind up getting that call when the third iteration of Big Brother: All-Stars comes around; I'm referring to houseguests that showed flashes of strategic or competitive prowess that would make them prime candidates to return to the show sooner than later.

We have seen quite a few prior seasons of Big Brother that have had a handful of returning houseguests thrown into the mix with new players. That's something I'd like to see happen for these three players sometime in the very near future.

Tucker Des Lauriers

Tucker was one of the most entertaining Big Brother houseguests we have seen in quite a long time. There is a good reason why he was he became the first-ever pre-juror to win America's Favorite Houseguest. Despite his somewhat early exit from season 26 of Big Brother, Tucker stacked up competition wins, winning six (one Head of Household, three Power of Veto, and two AI Arena), in his short 45-day run in the house. In addition to his competition prowess, Tucker was also a very savvy player who had a keen ability to read his fellow houseguests and make moves in the game that no one else saw coming.

Unfortunately for Tucker, he overplayed and constantly allowed himself to be put on the block as a pawn, even when it wasn't necessary, and as they always say, "pawns go home." Hopefully, if Tucker is given another opportunity he will play a more strategically sound game while still managing to be the personality America has come to love. Tucker is truly the ultimate wildcard and makes Big Brother extremely exciting to watch.

Cory Wurtenberger

Cory is another solid option to make a return to Big Brother that would likely not make an all-star season as of today. In season 25, Cory was playing a very strategically sound game and things were going quite well for him until he took his foot off of the gas and spent more time focusing on his showmance than winning the game, which in turn put a large target on his back.

Cory is an intelligent player and would likely be able to return to a future season of Big Brother and do some damage. He was only 21 in his first Big Brother appearance and showed promise, making it until day 79 and landing on the jury. It would be interesting to see how a more mature Cory would play the game a second time around, potentially without his former showmance, now girlfriend America Lopez.

Makensy Manbeck

Makensy is the highest-placing player on this list, finishing as the runner-up of Big Brother 26 just a few weeks ago. Makensy was an extremely fierce competitor, by far the best of the season following the previously mentioned Tucker Des Laurier's exit, even beating him head-to-head to put the final dagger in his game. The season 26 runner-up would win a very impressive 10 total competitions which included three Head of Households, five Power of Vetos, and two AI Arenas throughout the entirety of the season.

Makensy has been likened to Cody Calafiore's run in Big Brother 16, as both being great competitors would win the final HoH competition and take their alliance-mate to the finale despite having an easy win if they had chosen not to do so. Makensy likely would have been the winner of season 26 had she not taken Chelsie to the final two; considering the similarities between Makensy's game and Cody's first attempt, it would be intriguing to see if the 22-year-old could find similar success on a second Big Brother go around.
