With Big Brother Canada 8 now over, we decided to look back at the season. We will be going down the list of every Big Brother Canada 8 and detailing their best moves. Here are John Luke Kieper’s best moves.

John Luke got off to a solid start to the season. A twist saw Canada vote to keep their favorites safe from eviction in week 1. There would be no Head of Household. Instead, the four people with the fewest votes were in jeopardy of leaving and would have three chances to save themselves: a physical competition, a mental competition, and through their social game. John Luke was one of the people Canada voted to keep safe.

In week 2, John Luke became part of The Evictors alliance with Micheal Stubley, Madeline Di Nunzio, and Rianne Swanson. John Luke was the one that came up with the alliance’s name. However, they made themselves obvious and became targets. HOH Chris Wyllie specifically targeted Micheal for a backdoor plan out of jealousy over his relationship with Madeline.

Chris nominated Brooke Warnock and Hira Deol as pawns. When Hira won the POV and used it to save himself, Micheal was named the replacement nominee. The Evictors lashed out at Chris for what they perceived was a betrayal.

A luxury competition was held that week and those who lasted the longest would win a barbecue feast. John Luke, Micheal, Hira, and Angie Tackie won the feast. During the feast, John Luke and Micheal tried to sway Angie and Hira’s votes. However, they were unsuccessful as Micheal was evicted 9-3. John Luke, Madeline, and Rianne were the only votes to keep Micheal.

In week 3, Sheldon won HOH and targeted the remaining Evictors or Minh-Ly Nguyen Cao. John Luke pledge loyalty to Sheldon in exchange for his safety that week. Despite making Sheldon’s shortlist of people to nominate, John Luke was able to remain off the block. Instead, it was his allies Madeline and Rianne who were nominated for eviction, with Rianne being the bigger target.

In a twist, each player selected to compete in the POV that week was able to pick a partner to compete with them. The player selected by random draw would win the POV while the person picked by the player chosen by random draw would win immunity. John Luke was selected to play by Madeline. They won the competition earning Madeline the POV and John Luke immunity. Forced to name a replacement nominee, Sheldon nominated Minh-Ly.

After her nomination, Minh-Ly confronted Vanessa Clements to get down to the bottom of who was spreading lies against her. When she couldn’t get anything out of Vanessa, she called a house meeting. During the house meeting, Jamar Lee’s actions crossed the line and he was expelled from the game after Kyle Rozendal and Vanessa felt uncomfortable as a result of his actions. Kyle was expelled two days later for what production deemed “a pattern of problematic behavior.” Big Brother Canada then decided to hit the reset button and make Sheldon eligible to compete for HOH.

Sheldon won HOH again in week 4 and named John Luke a have-not. However, John Luke was not on his radar for a nomination this week. Carol Rosher held a house meeting to let everyone know she wanted to be evicted on Thursday. So, Sheldon nominated Carol and Minh-Ly for eviction. After Hira won the POV that week, he chose not to use it as Carol was still intent on going home. Also, that week Canada voted for one have not to receive a meal from Skip the Dishes and be off of slop the next week. Canada awarded this prize to John Luke.

Then on March 23, executive producer/showrunner Erin Brock gave houseguests the devastating news that due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) crisis, Big Brother Canada 8 would be coming to an early end and they would have one last day in the house before leaving. Their travel home was arranged for them. John Luke left the Big Brother Canada house along with Rianne and Madeline at 2:13 pm on March 24.

John Luke’s best moves of Big Brother Canada 8

John Luke’s best move was working his social magic and trying to play down how smart he was. You want to make sure you have targets ahead of you at all times in this game and playing down how smart you are can help that. JL’s social connections also helped make him mostly an afterthought when his allies became targets. JL did make Sheldon’s shortlist in week 3, but that’s the closest he ever came to being nominated.
