Big Brother Canada 8: The Award Goes to….

Big Brother Canada came to a pre-mature end recently due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) Pandemic. With the show over, we decided to give out some awards for the season.
Recently, Big Brother Canada came to a pre-mature end due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) Pandemic. Normally at the end of the season, there is an awards episode. During this episode, they give out awards for things such as “Best Moment” or “Best Meltdown” and give the fans the opportunity to weigh in on their favorite in each category. Since that is not happening this year, we decided to continue the tradition and give out our own awards.
We will have categories that are both serious and funny in nature. The first one award we will give out is “Best Wendy’s Fresh Moment.” The Wendy’s Fresh Moments are noteworthy moments from the show that go up on Big Brother Canada’s website later on. There is no real criteria here for this other than we just liked it.
The award goes to:
“Flirting in 2020.” The just wacky, odd showmance (or as they put it, beefmance) between Jamar Lee and Minh-Ly Nguyen Cao was easily one of the highlights of the shortlived Big Brother Canada 8. It really is a shame that it got cut short with Jamar’s expulsion.
In this Wendy’s Fresh Moment, we see Jamar and Minh-Ly chatting in the Expedia Lounge. Minh-Ly wants to straighten Jamar’s hair, but he refuses. Then Minh-Ly proceeds to insult him. She reveals in private that she’s playing with Jamar because she’s bored, likes to push his buttons, and finds it entertaining. Throughout the clip, it is really difficult to tell if they are fighting or flirting. It is unlike any relationship I’ve ever seen, but this scene is just comedy gold.
