Big Brother Canada 8 to Continue Production Despite COVID-19 Pandemic

Despite the recent coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, Big Brother Canada 8 has decided to continue production of the show. However, there will be no live audiences at the eviction shows.

Yesterday, Global TV and Insight Productions made the decision to continue on with Big Brother Canada 8 until further notice. This comes in light of the recent of the recent coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. However, live audiences at eviction shows have been suspended. Global TV is continuing to monitor the situation and will provide updates on any changes to the production or broadcast schedule.

As part of the precautionary measures taken, Big Brother Canada 8 houseguests were given an update on the status of COVID-19 both domestically and internationally. They also provided an update that no members of a houseguest’s family have tested positive for COVID-19.

Furthermore, a doctor assessed each houseguest. None of them are showing any signs or symptoms related to COVID-19. Also as part of the situation, houseguests were provided letters from home and given the option to leave if they wished. All of them have chosen to remain in the Big Brother Canada 8 house.

The houseguests will continue to be monitored for any signs of COVID-19 and will be given updates on the COVID-19 situation. Other precautionary measures taken include the further sanitation of all set pieces and limiting movements of crew members on location.

As of Sunday’s episode of Big Brother Canada 8, Sheldon Jean was the Head of Household. Kyle Rozendal, Vanessa Clements, Madeline Di Nunzio, and Rianne Swanson were the have-nots. Lastly, he named Madeline and Rianne the two nominees. However, the Power of Veto competition still looms.
