Big Brother Canada 8 Cast + First Twist Revealed

Today, the cast of Big Brother Canada 8 was revealed. Among the houseguests for the new season are a 24-year-old professional wrestler and the first houseguest to ever hail from Prince Edward Island. These 16 men and women will be competing for $100,000 (Canadian Dollars), $10,000 worth of groceries from Summer Fresh, and a trip for 2 to anywhere from Expedia.
Today the cast of Big Brother Canada 8 was revealed. Among the houseguests for the new season are a 44-year-old disability caregiver and a 24-year-old professional wrestler. These 16 men and women will be competing for $100,000 (Canadian Dollars), $10,000 worth of groceries from Summer Fresh, and a trip for 2 to anywhere from Expedia. The 16 men and women who will be competing are:
John Luke Kieper
John Luke is a 22-year-old professional journalist from Kamloops, British Columbia. John claims the most spontaneous thinking is applying for Big Brother Canada 8 is the most spontaneous thing he has ever done. He is currently single and geeks out on video games, superheroes, and movies.
Angie Tackie
Angie is a 33-year-old communications officer from Winnipeg, Manitoba. The first thing you’ll notice about Angie is she is quite religious. Her mantra is “praise him.” She lists her hero as her parents. She is single and her most used emoji is the fire emoji.
Brooke Warnock
Brook is a 26-year-old social support worker from Calgary, Alberta. Going into the house, Brooke is single. She describes her typical Sunday as reading books with her cats. When asked whether she would stay true to her word or backstab her alliance, she chose backstab her alliance.
Carol Rosher
Carol is a 44-year-old disability caregiver from Nanaimo, British Columbia. When asked if she would be a hero or villain, she chose hero. Her biggest fear is being murdered by a serial killer. She admits to watching far too much true crime. Her most used emoji is the two hands clasped together, as if in prayer.
Christopher “Chris” Wyllie
Chris is a 28-year-old brain transformation specialist from Markham, Ontario. Going into the house, Chris is single and his most used emojis are the heart and smiley face emojis. He says his biggest pet peeve is pompous people. When asked if he would be a villain or a hero, Chris chose hero. His mantra is do it now!
Hira Deol
Hira is a 30-year-old accountant from Brampton, Ontario. He is married, so don’t expect Hira to get into any showmances on Big Brother Canada 8. He geeks out on the Toronto Raptors as he is a huge basketball fan. When asked if he would stay true to his alliance or backstab them, Hira said he would stay true.
Jamar Lee
Jamar is a 23-year-old warehouse worker from Ajax, Ontario. He thinks he was selected for Big Brother Canada 8 because of he’s handsome, charismatic, and confident (his words, not ours). His biggest fear is animals. I have to ask…. does that include all animals?
Kyle Rozendal
Kyle is a 31-year-old electrician from Okotoks, Alberta. He is married, so don’t expect any showmances for him on Big Brother Canada 8. He geeks out on UFC and MMA. His mantra in life is roll the dice. When asked if he would be a villain or a hero, he chose hero.
Madeline Di Nunzio
Madeline is a 30-year-old substitute teacher from Toronto, Ontario. Her personal accomplishment that she is most proud of is getting a tennis scholarship. She also geeks out on Big Brother Canada.
Minh-Ly Nguyen-Cao
Minh-Ly is 28-year-old flight attendant from Montreal, Quebec. She geeks out on Astrology and her Zodiac sign is Gemini. She describes her typical Sundays as doing yoga, hanging out with a friend, and relaxing. When asked if she would be a hero or villain, she chose villain.
Michael Stubley
Michael is a 25-year-old military infantryman from Prince George, British Columbia. He is single, so when asked if he would be in a showmance or nomance, he said probably showmance. His biggest pet peeve is complaining. When asked if he would be a hero or villain, he said hero.
Nico Vera
Nico is a 31-year-old sales manager from Toronto, Ontario. He is taken, so don’t expect him to get into a showmance on Big Brother Canada 8. His strategy going into the game is to stay out of the spotlight. He gets along best with people who love with their hearts. His hero is father.
Rianne Swanson
Rianne is a 29-year-old OR Nurse from Chetwynd, British Columbia. She is single, so when asked about showmance or nomance, she chose showmance. She geeks out on binge watching reality tv. Her hero is Jennifer Lopez. When asked if she would be a villain or hero, she chose hero.
Susanne Fuda
Susanne 24-year-old corporate recruiter from Vaughan, Ontario. She is taken, so don’t expect a showmance from her on Big Brother Canada 8. She lists her hero as Beyoncé. She describes her typical Sunday as having a big Italian lunch with her family, going to the gym, and seeing friends.
Sheldon Jean
Sheldon is a 24-year-old professional wrestler from Ottawa, Ontario. An interesting fact about Sheldon is he has never drank or done drugs. He lists his hero as Kobe Bryant (RIP). He is single going into the house.
Vanessa Clements
Vanessa is a 26-year-old lobster fisherman from Mill River, Prince Edward Island. She geeks out on Big Brother Canada. She describes her typical Sunday as fishing, four-wheeling, and drinking beer. She is single going into the house.
First Twist of Big Brother Canada 8 Announced
In addition to the cast being announced, the first twist of Big Brother Canada 8 was also announced. Canada will be able to vote for who they want to be safe. The person with the fewest votes will be in immediate danger (likely nominated for eviction). The vote closes at 3 p.m. eastern on Saturday.
Some additional notes about the season: Vanessa will be the first houseguest Big Brother Canada houseguest ever to hail from Prince Edward Island. Ontario is the province that is most represented with 7 members of the cast being from Ontario. Provinces not represented include the Yukon Territories, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, the Northwest Territories, Saskatchewan, and Nunavut. Ontario and British Columbia are the two provinces tied for producing the most Big Brother Canada champions with 2 each.
Global will be airing a preview episode on Sunday, March 1 at 8 p.m. eastern. This episode will feature interviews with the new houseguests, a tour of the Big Brother Canada 8 house with host Arisa Cox and a sneak peek of the season’s theme. It will also feature a segment catching up with Dane Rupert, winner of Big Brother Canada 7, in Kelowna, British Columbia, his hometown. Big Brother Canada 8 premieres Wednesday, March 4, at 7 p.m. eastern.
