With Big Brother Canada 8 on the horizon, we decided to look back at our most recent season. We will be going down the list of every Big Brother Canada 7 and detailing their best moves. Here are Anthony Douglas’ worst moves.

Anthony Douglas is one of the members of the Pretty Boys alliance that dominated Big Brother Canada 7. He was never nominated for eviction during the course of the season. The only other person to do that in Big Brother Canada history is Jillian McLaughlin from Big Brother Canada 1.

On Day 1, Anthony joined the Pretty Boys alliance with Dane Rupert, Adam Pike, and Mark Drellich. He was able to remain out of the spotlight during the first 4 weeks of the game. During this time, he helped the Pretty Boys take out Laura Roberts, Maki Moto, Kailyn Archer, Chelsea Bird, and Eddie Lin respectively.

In week 5, Samantha Picco won HOH. A new twist was unleashed upon the house known as the Blood Veto. The house unanimously voted to give Kyra Shenker the Blood Veto on a promise that Kyra wouldn’t use it. The Blood Veto kept Kyra safe for the entire week and allowed them to overturn the eviction results if they didn’t like it.

Later, Samantha nominated Kiera Wallace and Mark for eviction. Adam won the POV that week and chose not to use it. In between the POV competition and POV ceremony, a plan was hatched by Dane to backdoor Cory. However, the plan fell through and Adam chose not to use the Veto. Kiera was voted out 5-1 but Kyra had the chance to overturn it with the Blood Veto. However, they kept their promise not to use it making Kiera the 6th person evicted.

In week 6, Cory won HOH and was out to backdoor whoever came up with the backdoor plot against her. Cory suspected it was either Dane or Samantha that came up with the plan, so she nominated Dane alongside Estefania Hoyos for eviction. Dane won the POV to save himself. Anthony was able to convince Cory that Samantha was the one who had come up with the plan to backdoor her the previous week and Samantha was named the replacement nominee. At the live eviction, Samantha was evicted in a 5-1 vote. This made her the first member of the Big Brother Canada 7 jury.

In week 7, the Pretty Boys wanted to target Cory, but Anthony wasn’t ready to let go of his ally. Mark won HOH and Anthony was able to convince him to keep Cory off the block. Mark chose to nominate Adam and Damien for eviction to throw people off the scent of the Pretty Boys. Adam won the POV that week and used it to save himself. Mark named Estefania the replacement nominee.

However, Adam found the secret assassin power later in the week. This allowed him to secretly name a 3rd nominee. He chose to nominate Cory, to Anthony’s chagrin. At the live eviction, Cory was evicted in a 3-1 vote. The lone vote to keep Cory came from Anthony.

Week 8 brought a double eviction. Anthony was able to stay out of the spotlight once again on the front end of the double. Here, he helped the Pretty Boys evict Estefania.

On the back end, Dane won HOH and nominated Kyra alongside Damien for eviction. Anthony finally managed a competition win as he took home the POV that week. Anthony chose not to use the POV that week and Damien was evicted in a 3-0 vote.

In week 9, Kyra won HOH, in effect breaking up the Pretty Boys alliance. Kyra chose to nominate Dane and Adam for eviction with the intention of taking out one of the two biggest threats. Adam won the POV that week to save himself. Kyra named Mark the replacement nominee and it looked like Dane was done.

However, Dane had other ideas. Through crocodile tears and a plan to evict Adam at the final 4, Dane was able to convince Anthony and Kyra that he should stay that week. Anthony was then able to get Adam on board to evict Mark. Mark was evicted in a 2-0 vote.

At the final 4, Dane won HOH and nominated Kyra alongside Adam for eviction. Dane also won the POV that week and chose not to use it. This gave Anthony the sole vote to evict. In a heart-wrenching moment, Adam was informed that he would be the one evicted that week. At the eviction, Anthony chose to evict Adam.

Anthony failed to win either of the first 2 parts of the 3-part final HOH. This resulted in his lone nomination of the season. Anthony’s ally Dane won HOH and chose to evict Kyra. This meant Anthony and Dane were the final 2.

On finale night, Anthony lost to Dane in a 7-0 vote. This marked only the 2nd time that the runner up failed to receive a vote. The other time this happened was in Big Brother Canada 5 when Kevin Martin defeated Karen Singbeil in a 9-0 vote. It also marked the first time in Big Brother Canada history that a player received no votes against or for them to win in a season.

Anthony’s worst move during his time on Big Brother Canada 7 was not being louder, if you will, about his game. Anthony mostly did his work behind the scenes and I feel like that is ultimately what cost him.
