With the 2010’s in the rear-view mirror, we decided to take a look back at every season of Big Brother from the previous decade. In our look back, we decided to rank the 5 most memorable moments of the decade.

With the 2010’s now over, we decided to reflect on every season of Big Brother that took place last decade. There have been many twists over the course of the decade. So, we decided to rank the 5 most memorable moments of the 2010’s. This will include both the Celebrity and Over the Top versions of Big Brother.

To qualify for this list, this moment had to have happened between 2010 and 2019. It also has to be a moment that if you asked a Big Brother fan about it, they would know exactly what it is. It does not remember if they remember that moment fondly or not. No. 5 on the list is “Floaters grab a life vest!”

No. 5: Floaters grab a life vest!

Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly had been in a showmance since the first week in Big Brother 12. Soon after, Hayden Moss and Kristen Bitting formed a showmance of their own. However, the existence of Hayden and Kristen’s showmance had gone unnoticed until Andrew Gordon exposed it in his eviction speech. Andrew had been previously aligned with Brendon and Rachel.

After Andrew was evicted, Rachel won HOH. Immediately following Rachel’s win, Rachel exclaimed “Floaters grab a life vest” before calling out Kristen. Rachel had been unhappy with Kristen for the way Kristen targeted her during the HOH competition. This led to a couple of fights between Kristen and Rachel. Brendon and Hayden also got into their own fights. The ironic part of the fight between Kristen and Rachel is that it happened in a boxing ring type set up.

To this day, the floaters grab a life vest line is still used in Big Brother lexicon. For that, this checks in at No. 5 on our countdown.
