With the decade nearly over, we decided to take a look back at every season of Big Brother we had this decade. In our look back, we decided to rank our 5 most iconic players of the decade.

With the 2010’s nearly over, we decided to reflect on every season of Big Brother that took place this decade. There have been several players that could be considered iconic over the course of the decade. With this in mind, we decided to rank the 5 most iconic players of the decade. This will include both the Celebrity and Over the Top versions of Big Brother. Number 1 is Derrick Levasseur from Big Brother 16.

No. 1: Derrick Levasseur

Derrick is widely considered one of top 3 greatest Big Brother players of all-time. He ranks right up there with Dr. Will Kirby and Dan Gheesling. Derrick was able to control the game from start to finish.

He was never nominated for eviction. The only time he was on the block was at the final 3. Even that instance was simply by default as he lost the final HOH competition. This made Derrick the first player to ever make it to Day 78 without being nominated for eviction. He went on to win the season 7-2 over Cody Calafiore.

Along the way, Derrick made several impressive moves. He saved Zach Rance from certain eviction twice. When it looked like his game was going to unravel, Derrick was able to take the heat off of him and convince everyone that Zach was the one who was not to be trusted. He got Caleb Reynolds to evict Frankie Grande at the final 5, even though Frankie would have taken Caleb to the final 3. Finally, he got Cody to take him to the final 2 even though it was obvious Cody would have beaten Victoria Rafaeli had he taken her. Derrick also got a segment at the reunion where they showed a tape of him discussing his strategy for the game.

Since BB16, Derrick has made cameo appearances on BB17, BB19, Celebrity Big Brother 1, and BB20. He also now hosts his own tv show on Investigation Discovery called Breaking Homicide. Unless you count Frankie’s webshow Style Code Live, this makes Derrick the only former Big Brother contestant to have their own tv show.

Derrick checks in at No. 1 mainly because his game was far too strong to be considered for any other slot. Who else was so good at the game that the show dedicated an entire segment to showing off their strategy? Not only this, but he has made several cameo appearances since Big Brother 16 and you still see him on your tv screens with his show on Investigation Discovery.
