Big Brother’s 6 dumbest moves of the 2010s: No. 5

With the decade nearly over, we decided to take a look back at every season of Big Brother we had this decade. In our look back, we decided to rank our 6 dumbest moves of the decade.

With the 2010s nearly over, we decided to reflect on every season of Big Brother that took place this decade. We knew that several incredibly dumb moves had been made over the years. With this in mind, we decided to rank the 6 dumbest moves of the decade. This will include both the Celebrity and Over the Top versions of Big Brother. Our 5th dumbest move is Cody Calafiore taking Derrick Levasseur to the final 2 over Victoria Rafaeli, costing him the game.

No. 5: Cody takes Derrick to the final 2 instead of Victoria

Derrick was the mastermind of Big Brother 16. He controlled every aspect of the game and was in a Final 2 alliance with Cody known as The Hitmen. The other member of the final 3 was Victoria. Victoria did absolutely nothing to warrant her winning the game at all. In fact, she got zinged for not playing the game when Zingbot 3000 and Kathy Griffin came in.

Cody won the 3-part final HOH Competition that season. By default, Derrick and Victoria were nominated for eviction. Cody had the sole vote to evict and, in the process, chose who he wanted to take to the final 2 with him. Cody chose to honor his alliance with Derrick and took him to the final 2, evicting Victoria in the process. The move turned out to be a disaster for Cody as he lost to Derrick in a 7-2 vote. The jury has since said that if he had taken Victoria, he would have won.

I get wanting to be loyal to your alliance but in this case, that was just downright stupid. Cody knew Derrick had been the mastermind behind everything because you were right there with him the whole time. Bros before $500,000 I guess ¯_(ツ)_/¯.
