Ranking the Celebrity Big Brother houseguests: No. 17
By Tim Gross
In light of Celebrity Big Brother being left off CBS’ schedule, we thought we would take a trip down memory lane. We are going to be ranking all Celebrity Big Brother houseguests from 23 to 1. Today we will take a look at #17: Joey Lawrence.
When CBS released their midseason schedule, there was a notable absence from it: Celebrity Big Brother. This has led to speculation that the series has been cancelled. It really is a shame because it provided fans some entertainment in the black hole known as the Big Brother offseason. So with this in mind, we decided to rank the houseguests from 23 to 1. Checking in at No. 17 on our list is Joey Lawrence from Season 2.
No. 17: Joey Lawrence
Joey really just didn’t bring much to the table on Celebrity Big Brother 2. He refused to be part of alliances, which isn’t exactly how you win Big Brother. He also wasn’t seen much in the diary room.
Joey found himself on the outs early and often. Despite not wanting an alliance, his loyalties were with Jonathan Bennett and Ryan Lochte. After Anthony Scaramucci left on Day 6 and a new POV was put up for grabs, Kato Kaelin won the POV and used it to save Tom Green from eviction. Joey was named the replacement nominee. He was up for eviction against Jonathan (who had lost part 2 of the HOH Competition to Ryan) and Kandi Burruss. Jonathan was evicted in a 6-1-0 vote.
Joey was able to remain safe through the front end of week 2’s double eviction. However, he did lose his friend Ryan in a 6-1 vote. Joey was the only one who voted to save Ryan.
On Day 14, Tom won HOH and nominated Joey alongside Kandi for eviction. When Natalie Eva Marie won POV, she chose not to use it. Joey was then unanimously evicted in 6-0 vote.
Joey’s lack of relevance on Celebrity Big Brother 2 lands him No. 18 on your list. You could honestly argue he should be lower on this list because of it. However, given he made it past a few evictions, this is where he lands on our list.
Stay tuned to see who checks in at No. 16!
