Ranking the Celebrity Big Brother houseguests: No. 16

In light of Celebrity Big Brother being left off CBS’ schedule, we thought we would take a trip down memory lane. We are going to be ranking all Celebrity Big Brother houseguests from 23 to 1. Today we will take a look at #16: Shannon Elizabeth.

When CBS released their midseason schedule, there was a notable absence from it: Celebrity Big Brother. This has led to speculation that the series has been cancelled. It really is a shame because it provided fans some entertainment in the black hole known as the Big Brother offseason. So with this in mind, we decided to rank the houseguests from 23 to 1. Checking in at No. 16 on our list is Shannon Elizabeth from Season 1.

No. 16: Shannon Elizabeth

Shannon was a classic case of over playing your hand and getting evicted early. The main difference between her and Jonathan Bennett is that Shannon had better potential than Jonathan to win.

Shannon started off strong on Celebrity Big Brother 1. She won the first competition but her reign didn’t last long. While HOH, Metta World Peace asked Shannon to nominate him so he could be evicted. However, Shannon had bigger targets in mind and didn’t want him to leave. From this point forward, Metta held a grudge against Shannon. In a twist, Shannon lost her HOH reign to Keshia Knight Pulliam.

The women formed an alliance early since they had the numbers and targeted James Maslow. Keshia nominated Chuck Liddell and James for eviction. Shannon then won the POV Competition and chose to keep nominations the same. Shannon was able to flip the vote to evict Chuck and Chuck was evicted 7-1.

In week 2’s double eviction, she was able to stay safe. However, her competition wins and vote flip caused her alliance to turn on her at the back end of the double eviction.

Ariadna Gutierrez won the HOH Competition on Day 14 and nominated Shannon and James as the 2 strongest players in the game. When James won the POV to save himself, Shannon’s fate was sealed. Ariadna named Mark McGrath the replacement nominee but Shannon was evicted 5-1. The only vote to save Shannon came from Brandi Glanville.
