Last week, casting director Robyn Kass announced the former houseguests would be giving casting advice to fans. These pieces of advice would become available starting Monday. Today’s piece of advice came from Big Brother Canada 7 star Adam Pike. Adam applied multiple times before getting on the show, so he knows a thing or two about patience.

Adam’s advice was to keep on trying. It took Adam 5 years in a row of applying to get on the show. Each time he got rejected, Adam took the opportunity to better himself. He also says consistency is key and to not give up because you never got a call back.

I like Adam’s advice here. It took Troy “Troyzan” Robertson of Survivor 11 years before he finally got on the show. Besides, if you give up because you don’t get a call back, how are you ever supposed to get on the show?

Adam Pike’s time on Big Brother Canada 7

Adam started off Big Brother Canada 7 strong, founding the Pretty Boys alliance with Dane Rupert, Anthony Douglas, and Mark Drellich. He then found himself in a showmance with Samantha Picco. Adam then won the first HOH Competition of the season and nominated Damien Ketlo and Laura Roberts for eviction. Laura was evicted unanimously 11-0.

Adam then won the POV in week 2 and chose to keep Dane’s nominations of Kyra Shenker and Maki Moto the same. After week 2, Adam remained safe for another two weeks before winning his 2nd HOH Competition on Day 27. This time, Adam nominated Eddie Lin and Kiera “Kiki” Wallace for eviction. When Kiki won the POV, Adam nominated Kyra in her place. Eddie was evicted 8-0.

In week 5, Adam’s showmance Samantha won HOH and nominated Kiki alongside Adam’s ally Mark for eviction. When Adam won the POV, he chose to keep nominations the same. Adam helped keep his ally Mark safe and Kiki was evicted 5-1. Kyra chose not to use the Blood Veto, which could’ve overturned the eviction results.

In week 6, after Dane won POV to save himself, Adam lost his showmance, Samantha. She was nominated in Dane’s place against Estenfania Hoyos and evicted 5-1. The lone vote to keep Samantha came from Adam.

In week 7, Mark wanted to hide the Pretty Boys alliance by nominating Adam. So, he nominated Adam against Damien. Adam won the POV to save himself that week and Estefania was nominated in his place. Then, Adam found the Secret Assassin Power which allowed him to secretly nominate a 3rd houseguest. He chose to nominate Cory Kennedy, who was evicted 3-1 vote.

On Day 49, Adam won his 3rd HOH Competition of the season. He nominated Damien and Estefania for eviction. However, Damien won the POV to save himself. Needing a replacement nominee, Adam and Mark decided to fake a fight. Adam named Mark the replacement nominee as “retaliation” for Mark nominating Adam the previous week. Estefania was evicted in a 3-1 vote.

At the final 5, Kyra pulled a stunning upset and won HOH. She nominated Adam for eviction against Dane, his closest ally. Adam won the POV to save himself that week, marking his 7th competition win of the season and 4th POV win. Kyra nominated Mark in Adam’s place.

It looked like Dane was as good as gone. However, Dane convinced Anthony and Kyra to keep him on the basis that they needed him to help get rid of Adam the next week. Anthony then convinced Adam to vote Mark out and Mark was evicted 2-0.

At the final 4, Dane won HOH and chose to nominate Adam and Kyra. Dane then won the POV that week. Prior to the POV ceremony, Dane and Anthony informed Adam he would be going home in a tear-jerking moment. At the POV ceremony, Dane chose not to use the Veto, sealing Adam’s fate. At the live eviction, Anthony followed through with the plan and Adam was evicted, making him the 6th member of the jury. Ultimately, Adam respected Dane’s game and voted for Dane to win on finale night.
