Dane wished hopefuls the best of luck before getting into his advice. His advice was to have something unique about you that separates you from others that would help you in the game. This could be an interesting story, a personality trait, or even a physical feature.
This is a strong piece of advice from Dane here because that kind of thing will help you get noticed. The only thing is, it has be a genuine part of you. Casting directors aren’t going to want someone who they think is being fake.
Dane’s time on Big Brother Canada 7
Dane started off Big Brother Canada 7 strong as a founding member of the Pretty Boys alliance. He took control early and often. Dane knew when to step up in competitions and when to tone it down.
Dane won HOH and week 2 and targeted Kyra Shenker for eviction. Dane nominated Kyra alongside Maki Moto. Adam Pike won the POV and chose not to use it. Dane quickly changed his target to Maki after word got to members of the pretty boys that Maki would be targeting them. When the vote came down on eviction night, it was a 5-5 tie, forcing Dane to break the tie. Dane chose to evict Maki.
Dane won HOH again in week 4. This time, he nominated Chelsea Bird for eviction alongside Kyra. Cory Kennedy won the POV that week and chose not to use it. This allowed Dane to get his target, Chelsea, evicted in a 9-0.
In week 6, Cory nominated Dane alongside Estefania Hoyos. Cory suspected Dane might’ve been behind a failed backdoor plot to evict her. So, she nominated him alongside who she thought was Dane’s closest ally. Dane won the Power of Veto to save himself. Anthony Douglas managed to convince Cory that it was actually Samantha Picco who started the failed backdoor plan. So, Cory named Samantha the replacement nominee. Samantha was then evicted in a 5-1 vote.
On Day 55, Dane won his 3rd HOH of the season. He nominated fan-favorite Damien Ketlo alongside Kyra with the intention of evicting Damien. After Anthony won the POV, he chose to leave nominations the same. Damien was evicted in a 3-0 vote.
The only time Dane was ever in true danger came at the final 5. Kyra surprised everyone by winning the HOH Competition. She nominated Adam and Dane as the two biggest threats. Mark Drellich and Anthony were ready to evict Dane. However, Adam won the Power of Veto to save himself. Mark was named the replacement nominee.
Dane then pulled out all the stops in campaigning to Anthony and Kyra. Dane’s campaigning began to change their minds about evicting him. Dane was able to successfully convince Anthony and Kyra that they needed him to take out Adam the following week. At the live eviction, Mark was evicted 2-0 over Dane.
On Day 63, Dane won the final 4 HOH Competition. He nominated Adam alongside Kyra for eviction. With the POV more critical than ever, Dane won and kept his nominations the same. In a heart-wrenching moment before the POV ceremony, Dane and Anthony informed Adam they were going to evict him. Adam was then evicted at the eviction 1-0.
Dane then won part 1 of the final HOH competition, automatically advancing to part 3. In part 3, he faced off against Kyra, who had won part 2. Dane won part 3, earning him the final HOH of the season.
Having the one vote to evict, Dane chose to evict Kyra and take Anthony to the final 2. On finale night, the jury respected Dane’s game more and awarded him the win in a 7-0 vote.
Good luck to those of you who apply for Big Brother Canada 8!
