The winner of America’s Favorite Player will receive $25,000. This prize is given out on finale night after the winner of Big Brother has been announced.
History of America’s Favorite Player in Big Brother
The America’s Favorite Player award was first given out on Big Brother 7: All-Stars. The award was not given out on Big Brother 8, likely due to Eric Stein being America’s Player the entire season. However, from All-Stars until Big Brother 11, you could only vote on jury members to win the award. Starting with season 11, you could vote on any houseguest to win the America’s Favorite Player Prize.
To date, only 3 houseguests who have been evicted pre-jury have been in the top 3 for America’s Favorite Player. Those 3 players are Howard Overby, Jason Roy, and Shannon Elizabeth.
Here is a list of all previous winner’s of the America’s Favorite Juror/America’s Favorite Player Award:
Janelle Pierzina
James Zinkland
Keesha Smith
Jeff Schroeder (won the award twice)
Britney Haynes
Frank Eudy
Elissa Slater
Donny Thompson
James Huling
Victor Arroyo
Cody Nickson
Ross Matthews
Tyler Crispen
Needless to say, whoever wins the America’s Favorite Player Award this season is going to be joining some elite company. There are a lot of legends and all-stars on this list. As of now, it seems that Nicole Anthony would be the front runner for this year’s award but who knows how fans are actually going to vote.
Be sure to get your votes and tune in on finale night to see who gets added to the list of America’s Favorite Player winners!
