In light of last week’s double eviction that saw Christie Murphy leave on the back end of the double, we thought we would take a look down memory lane at some of the most memorable Big Brother players to be evicted on the double eviction. To be clear, we are only looking at those who were evicted on the back end of the double. Some great players have seen their games come to an end on the back end of a double eviction. We will be sharing the four most memorable to bear the brunt of the double eviction.

Every year, Big Brother’s double eviction night is one of the most highly anticipated nights of the summer. Big moves are often made on double eviction night because of the limited amount of time you have to rally votes at the back end of the double eviction. Double eviction night happened last week on Big Brother 21 and in honor of this, we decided to take a look at the four most memorable evictions on double eviction night.

To be clear, we are only looking at those who were evicted on the back end of the double eviction. This means you will not see players like Haleigh Broucher, Mike “Boogie” Malin, Frank Eudy, Daniele Donato, Matt Hoffman, and Howie Gordon among others. They were all evicted on the front end of the double eviction. Once you’ve finished reading, let me know how I did and if there were others I might’ve missed in the comments section or @insidebbhouse on twitter.

No. 4: Brett Robinson (Big Brother 20)

Brett Robinson started off the game strong as a member of the Level Six alliance. However, he was nominated for eviction in week 3 alongside his bromance Winston Hines. Winston was evicted in a 6-5 vote as Level Six (with Samantha “Sam” Bledsoe’s help) decided to save Brett as a shot at FOUTTE. After Winston’s eviction, Brett emerged as one of Big Brother 20‘s fan favorite because of his personality and strong game play.

When Bayleigh Dayton won Head of Household in week 5, she chose to nominate Brett alongside Rachel Swindler. Since Brett was once again FOUTTE’s target, Level Six (along with JC Monduix and Sam) saved Brett and evicted Rachel.

Brett was nominated again in week 8 when Faysal “Fessy” Shafat was Head of Household. This time he was nominated alongside Scottie Salton. After Brett won the Power of Veto to save himself, his ally Kaycee Clark was nominated in his place. Scottie was evicted that week after Brett was able to pin a rogue vote on Scottie.

Brett managed to stay safe until the fateful double eviction. Brett’s ally Tyler Crispen won Head of Household on the back end of the double eviction. Tyler nominated JC and Sam for eviction initially. However, Brett tried to target Tyler’s showmance, Angela Rummans. This led to Brett’s demise as Angela won the Power of Veto and used it to save JC. Tyler nominated Brett as the replacement nominee and he was evicted in a 3-0 vote. During Brett’s eviction interview, host Julie Chen-Moonves unintentionally added insult to injury by calling him Brent during her sign off.

No. 3: Eric Stein (Big Brother 8)

Eric Stein was part of a twist on Big Brother 8 known as America’s Player. For the entire season Eric played with this tag as America dictated his entire game. America gave him tasks from who to get nominated to who to vote to evict. For each task he completed, Eric earned $10,000 for every 5 tasks that he completed.

Naturally, as America’s Player, Eric became a fan favorite. However, it wasn’t just the title of America’s Player that earned him fan favorite status. Eric proved to be a savvy game player, able to convince numerous houseguests to do America’s bidding. He was also able to successfully navigate various different alliance to make it all the way to the final 5.

In weeks 2 and 3, America directed Eric to evict Kail Harbick, creating a hinky vote. After Nick Starcevic was evicted in week 4, an unhappy Big Brother fan flew a banner over the house during the Head of Household Competition calling Eric and Amber liars. This led to Daniele Donato realizing that it was Eric who cast the hinky votes the previous two weeks.

As a result of Daniele’s realization, Dick “Evel Dick” Donato and Daniele unsuccessfully tried to backdoor him in week 5. His alliance of Dustin Erikstrup, Jessica Hughbanks, Jameka Cameron, and Amber Siyavus kept him safe. However, Eric turned on his alliance the next week (at the direction of America), blindsiding Dustin and keeping Evel Dick safe. This lead to deal between Evel Dick, Daniele, Jessica, and Eric that lasted to that fateful double eviction night.

Before double eviction night, Evel Dick and Daniele considered turning on their alliance with Eric and Jessica with Jessica being nominated for eviction against Jameka. Ultimately, Jessica was the first person evicted on the double eviction in a 2-1 vote. The lone vote to evict Jameka came from America.

On the back end of the double eviction, Evel Dick won Head of Household. With Eric’s game now in shambles, Evel Dick nominated Eric and Jameka for eviction, intent on evicting Eric. After Zach Swerdzewski elected not to use the Power of Veto, Eric was evicted by a vote of 2-0. Big Brother fans have been clamoring for Eric’s return ever since (without the America’s Player title).

No. 2 Brendon Villegas (Big Brother 12)

On Big Brother 12, Brendon Villegas was a very polarizing character. You either loved him or hated him. It is not so much because of the way he behaved during the show, but rather for his showmance’s antics. In the first week of the game, Brendon fell in love with fellow houseguest Rachel Reilly after learning they both had a background in science and formed a powerful showmance known as Brenchel.

Seeing the showmance as a big threat, Head of Household Hayden Moss nominated Brendon and Rachel in week 1. Brendon was the Brigade’s target (the Brigade consisting of Hayden Moss, Lane Elenburg, Enzo Palumbo, and Matt Hoffman) for his physical strength. However, Brendon won the Power of Veto to save himself and Annie Whittington was named the replacement nominee. Annie was nominated because the Brigade feared Annie was trying to make an alliance with Brendon and Rachel. Brendon and Rachel were able to convince enough people to keep Rachel around. Annie was evicted in a unanimous 10-0 vote.

In week 5, Brendon was nominated alongside his showmance Rachel by Head of Household Matt. When Britney Haynes won the Power of Veto, she chose not use it, ensuring one of the pair would be evicted. Brendon was able to stay as Rachel was evicted in a unanimous 6-0 vote.

After Rachel’s eviction, Brendon won Head of Household. He nominated Lane and Ragan Fox for eviction. After the Power of Veto Competition, Brendon was given the opportunity to open Pandora’s Box. Brendon chose to open Pandora’s Box and left the house for 24 hours to a spa resort, where he believed Rachel would be as well. However, Rachel went back into the Big Brother house for the 24 hours Brendon was gone.

While in the house, Rachel left Brendon a message to target Matt, which he did. After Ragan won the Power of Veto, Brendon nominated Matt as Rachel wanted. However, Matt used the Diamond Power of Veto to save himself and Matt chose to nominate Kathy Hillis in his place. Kathy was unanimously evicted in a unanimous 5-0 vote.

On the front end of Week 7’s double eviction, Britney won Head of Household. Britney nominated Brendon for eviction against Enzo. However, Brendon won the Power of Veto to save himself and Matt was nominated in Brendon’s place. Matt was evicted in a unanimous 4-0 vote.

Brendon’s game all came crashing down on the back end of that double eviction. Hayden won Head of Household and chose to nominate Brendon and Ragan. When Ragan won the Power of Veto, Hayden nominated Britney in his place. Brendon was evicted in a unanimous 3-0 vote.

No. 1: Jeff Schroeder (Big Brother 13)

Easily the most popular Big Brother player of all time, Jeff Schroeder returned to Big Brother 13 along with his showmance from Big Brother 11, Jordan Lloyd. They returned as part of a dynamic duos twist that saw three notable pairs of former houseguests return for a second shot at the $500,000 prize.

Jeff started off the game strong, remaining safe for the first four weeks. The veterans had formed an alliance and were able to dominate the first three weeks, even after Evel Dick quit the game on Day 6.  They were able to secure loyalties from Kalia Booker and Shelly Moore to give them the control they enjoyed.

In week 5, Jeff was nominated alongside Rachel Reilly for eviction. After Jeff won the Power of Veto and used it to save himself, Kalia had to come up with a new target. In one of the dumbest moves in Big Brother history, Lawon Exum volunteered to be evicted thinking he would come back with some sort of super-power. Lawon was evicted in a unanimous 6-0 vote. However, his move backfired when he lost the re-entry competition to Brendon Villegas.

At the front end of the fateful Week 7 double eviction, Jeff won Head of Household. He wanted to target Daniele Donato as he viewed Daniele as the biggest threat to him. Knowing how strong Daniele was in competitions, Jeff nominated Kalia alongside Porsche Briggs for eviction. Jeff then won the Power of Veto Competition and used it to save Porsche. In Porsche’s place, he nominated Daniele, effectively backdooring her. Jeff managed to get his target, Daniele, evicted in a 3-2 vote.

On the back end of the double eviction, Kalia won her 2nd Head of Household Competition and chose to nominate Jeff alongside Rachel. During the Power of Veto Competition, Jeff infamously lost a clown shoe he needed to retrieve, Porsche won the Power of Veto Competition. Porsche chose not to use the Power of Veto, leaving Jeff and Rachel as the nominees.

Kalia’s alliance (Kalia, Porsche, Shelly) was intent on evicting Jeff. However, Jeff tried to sway Shelly. His pleas fell on deaf ears and Shelly chose to evict him making it a 2-2 tie. Kalia, as the tie-breaking vote, evicted Jeff. Legend has it, Jeff is still looking for that clown shoe to this day.
