Tonight, we saw flashbacks from the double eviction. After the flashbacks, Nicole Anthony get her Head of Household basket. Then, we saw Chris “Swaggy C” Williams and Bayleigh Dayton return to host the Head of Household Competition. After the Head of Household Competition, we saw some last-minute strategizing.  Big Brother 21 Episode 33 concluded with the nomination ceremony.

Big Brother 21 Episode 33 begins

Big Brother 21 Episode 33 began like most episodes do, with a recap of the events leading us to where we are now. Then, the show launched into the main title sequence. After the main title sequence, Big Brother 21 Episode 33 picked up where Episode 32 left off, at the end of the double eviction episode.

Double eviction fallout and flashbacks

Tommy felt like he was a lone wolf in the game now that Christie was gone and didn’t trust anyone. Michie privately celebrated Christie’s eviction and revealed that he had no respect for Christie. Nicole celebrated surviving the double eviction and being in the final five. Nicole also led us into the double eviction flashbacks by talking about her finally winning her first competition led to her craziest night on Big Brother.

In between the HOH Competition and nomination ceremony, Nicole debated whether to target Christie and Tommy or Michie and Holly Allen. Michie celebrated Nicole’s HOH win with her and Nicole told Michie she would keep him safe to repay him for keeping her safe. Tommy then talked with Nicole and Nicole informed him he was likely being nominated. Tommy told Christie he was likely being nominated and Christie felt she likely was too.

After the Power of Veto Competition, Tommy tried to talk to Cliff about potentially using the Power of Veto to save him. However, he didn’t even get a chance to talk to Cliff because Cliff told him that he was keeping nominations the same. Cliff and Nicole both assured Tommy he was safe and that Christie was the one who was being evicted.

However, Tommy wasn’t happy that Christie was going home because he felt there were bigger targets than Christie or himself (namely Michie and Holly). Cliff told Michie and Holly he was keeping nominations the same and the three celebrated. Nicole told Christie she was being evicted.

After the Power of Veto ceremony, Christie and Tommy lamented that they were being split up in the storage room. Christie tried to give Tommy words of encouragement before he left. They also couldn’t understand why Nicole wouldn’t target Michie and Holly and felt Michie would win. Christie told Tommy that Cliff or Michie had to go.

After the flashback of Christie being evicted, we went back to more fallout. Tommy was relieved that Christie was gone because it meant he was still there. However, Tommy said he was going to miss Christie.

Tommy’s pity party and Nicole’s HOH basket

With Christie now gone, it was everyone vs. Tommy. Tommy was the last remaining member of his alliance. Tommy felt alone in the game as a result.

Then it was time for Nicole to get her HOH basket. She received unicorn slippers, pictures of her family, and a letter from her mom among other things in her HOH basket. Everyone was really happy for Nicole, especially Cliff.

Pre-HOH plotting and planning

The alliance of Cliff, Michie, Holly, and Nicole confirmed their loyalties to each other before the HOH Competition. Cliff knew one of them would have to go on the block no matter what. They just needed to make sure that Tommy didn’t win HOH.

Cliff and Nicole celebrated making it to the final five together. Cliff hatched a plan with Nicole to convince Tommy to target Michie and Holly if he won HOH. Nicole then went to work on Tommy and encouraged him to win HOH. Tommy knew he needed to win this HOH Competition.

Head of Household Competition

It was then time for the next Head of Household Competition. Big Brother 20 alums Chris “Swaggy C” Williams and Bayleigh Dayton returned to the Big Brother house to host the competition.

For this week’s HOH Competition, three movie posters would appear on a screen. Houseguests would hear a group of friends talking about which movie they wanted to watch. What they were saying were the clues to one movie they all agreed upon. When players thought they knew the answer, they would have to hit the corresponding button to lock in their answer. The first player to buzz in with the correct movie would earn a point. The first player to 5 points won HOH.

The catch to this Head of Household Competition was not everything the group of friends said was a clue. Some clues might also apply to more than one movie.

As the outgoing HOH, Nicole wasn’t eligible to compete. Michie blew away the competition. Cliff was the next closest with 2 points. Everyone else only scored one.

Last-minute scrambling

Tommy tried to plant seeds of doubt with Michie about his alliance with Cliff and Nicole. However, Tommy’s attempt fell on deaf ears as Michie wasn’t buying any of it. Tommy revealed in private he felt that Cliff was the biggest threat in the house.

Cliff talked with Nicole in the storage room. Cliff knew they had to win the upcoming Power of Veto Competition. If Tommy won, Cliff knew it was likely going to be him that was evicted. Nicole questioned whether sticking with Michie when she had a chance to backdoor him at the double eviction had been the right move.

Nomination ceremony

Big Brother 21 Episode 33 concluded with the nomination ceremony. At the nomination ceremony, Michie nominated Tommy and Cliff for eviction.

Michie said his final four with Holly, Michie, and Cliff was the most important thing to him. That meant Tommy is Michie’s target.

Cliff wasn’t surprised to be nominated. He knew it was all about who won the Power of Veto because if Tommy won, he was going home most likely.

Tommy knew there were stronger competitors in the house. However, he vowed to fight harder than anyone else for the Power of Veto.
