Julie Chen Moonves is in line to return as the Big Brother host this summer. Very soon she should be introducing the BB21 cast to the CBS audience.

Julie Chen Moonves is already back to teasing Big Brother fans on social media. Recently, it was officially announced by CBS that she would be returning to host the show during summer 2019. Then, during this past week, she popped up on Twitter, sharing the new promotional video for the show.

The reality competition show has only had one host on the U.S. version. Julie Chen Moonves has been with the program for 20 years, including the online version of the show and the celebrity versions. Over the past year, there had been rumors that she might get replaced, but CBS and show producers made the right decision to keep her at the helm.

Much like the success of the other reality competition shows at CBS, with Jeff Probst on Survivor and Phil Keoghan with The Amazing Race, keeping a static host inside the BB house has helped the show. Having a familiar face that knows the ins and outs of the show has allowed the viewers to focus on the casts and to really enjoy what takes place during each season.

When is Big Brother 21 start date?

While Julie Chen Moonves is hinting at and teasing about the upcoming season, she hasn’t revealed any additional details. CBS hasn’t even announced the official Big Brother 21 start date, even though an assumption can be made that it will be at the end of June. It’s just another way to keep fans on their toes and searching for information on the next installment.

Don’t worry fans, because when the details are officially available, CBS and Julie Chen Moonves will inundate social media with them. It can also be expected that former cast members will debate about the BB21 cast and that there will be numerous Reddit posts conversing about the newbies. That should all start taking place in less than a month.
