CBS has announced that Big Brother 21 has been renewed and that Julie Chen is officially slated to return as the summer 2019 host.

CBS has released the summer 2019 start date, but that information has been surmised in a previous report from Inside the BB House. The information on the summer reality competition shows should come out soon, especially with the Survivor season finale on May 15.

Additional information from the CBS report gives evidence that Julie Chen Moonves will be the Big Brother 21 host. The site states that “No formal announcement, but Julie Chen says she will return.” That’s great news for the fans.

The Survivor season finale will hand the reality competition torch over to The Amazing Race until Big Brother returns this summer. CBS viewers should then expect to see a lot of promotion for Big Brother during upcoming episodes of Amazing Race.
