Rachel Reilly, Elissa Slater currently third place on The Amazing Race
By Ryan Gamble
Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, who are former Big Brother houseguests, are playing The Amazing Race as a duo in Season 31.
Sisters Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater are competing as a team on The Amazing Race 31. The duo was shown competing hard during the season premiere episode on April 17. It’s not a surprise that Rachel is already doing well, as she previously competed on the show with her husband (Brendon Villegas). This time, the Big Brother 13 winner has teamed up with her sister, Elissa, who finished sixth place on Big Brother 15.
Rachel and Elissa debut on The Amazing Race
On the season premiere of the show, it was clear that Rachel is in it to win this season. There is a distinct advantage for competitors who have been on the show before, which has already favored former Amazing Race cast members who have also returned. In the first episode, though, while Rachel and Elissa made it to the mat early, it was a former Amazing Race duo that went home first.

Heading into the second episode of The Amazing Race 31, Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater are currently in third place. That’s an interesting coincidence, as Rachel and Brendon finished in third place (twice) when they participated in The Amazing Race 20 and The Amazing Race 24. Third place doesn’t win the $1 million cash prize, though, so Rachel may have something to prove.
Can Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater win The Amazing Race 31?
In the CBS preview for Season 31, episode 2 of the show, Rachel and Elissa make an appearance during one clip (shown below). Rachel can be seen playing the game very hard and instructing the driver of her vehicle on how to do things. Taking control of situations is a good way to make it far in this game and it appears that Rachel is ready to do what it takes to win. Will she have better luck with her sister than with her husband?
The next episode of The Amazing Race 31 will air on Wednesday, April 24. The episode begins at 9/8c on CBS, immediately following the next installment of Survivor. All three duos of former Big Brother houseguests have survived so far, so it could get very interesting down the stretch. Make sure to tune in and find out if Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater do even better this week.
