Ryan Lochte is on the Celebrity Big Brother 2019 cast. This information was just revealed by CBS on January 13, setting the stage for a lot of debate about who could win the show this winter.
The Celebrity Big Brother 2019 cast has 12 members. One of them is Ryan Lochte, who made a name for himself swimming on the Olympic team for the United States. He found a lot of success in the pool, though Michael Phelps overshadowed him during that time. Now, Lochte is going to try to show he has what it takes to win the $250,000 prize and become the CBBUS2 winner.

Lochte has won 12 Olympic medals during his time in the sport. As shown in the video below, though, he has also had some rough moments along the way. Ryan Lochte came on the stage in the world of swimming through his success at the Olympics and the University of Florida. He featured in the breaststroke and in freestyle swimming, setting some American and World records along the way. He still holds the World records in the 200-meter individual medley and the 400-meter individual medley. Along the way, Lochte collected six Olympic gold medals.
The controversies of Ryan Lochte
There have been some stumbles along the way for the famous swimmer. Back in 2016, he falsely claimed that he and other American swimmers were pulled over and robbed during the Brazil Olympics. In 2018, he received a 14-month suspension from swimming because of a prohibited intravenous infusion. That’s about as bad as it can get on the stage of the Olympic competition. Maybe he will address some of these things inside the BB house this winter.
