When does Celebrity Big Brother start? USA Season 2 on the way
By Ryan Gamble
The Celebrity Big Brother start date has nearly arrived. A new group of celebrities will soon be inside the BB house and working to become a favorite of America this winter.
It already seems like it has been a long wait since the Big Brother 20 season finale, but the Celebrity Big Brother season premiere is on the horizon. When CBS announced its midseason schedule, it gave fans of the reality competition show something to look forward to this winter. Much like last winter, the celebrities should give CBS viewers some alternative programming, with a shot at a lot of enjoyment along the way.
When does Celebrity Big Brother start?
The Celebrity Big Brother return date is Monday, January 21. The show will begin at 8/7c, with the possibility that it will be a multiple-day premiere. That’s how the USA Season 1 was done, with a three-day event in February 2018. It would make sense to do it again, as it would draw eyes to the program.

There are also episodes on Tuesday (January 22) and Wednesday (January 23) of that premiere week, with a day off before another episode on Friday (January 25). That’s a lot of coverage during the first week, but producers should have a lot of footage ready to go. The celebrities will start playing the game a few days before the Celebrity Big Brother start date on CBS.
A quick recap of BB Celeb Season 1
There were 11 houseguests (all celebrities) who played the game last winter. The entire season took place in February 2018, as CBS wanted to have some programming to show against the Winter Olympics. Some of the notable celebrities were Brandi Glanville, Shannon Elizabeth, Ross Mathews, and Marck McGrath. The winner, though, was Broadway star Marissa Jaret Winokur, who won over the celebrity jury.
There probably won’t be a Celebrity Big Brother cast list revealed for this season until some time in January. It means there is still some more waiting to do, even though the return date of the reality competition has already been announced. After that, it should only be a matter of time until Big Brother 21 premieres in summer 2019.
