Big Brother 21 schedule: Projecting season premiere date

The Big Brother 21 schedule will take place during summer 2019. CBS is already casting for the new installment of the reality competition show.

The official Big Brother 21 schedule hasn’t been released by CBS yet, but there are several hints that could point to when the season premiere will take place. The Big Brother 20 season premiere was on June 27 (2018), Big Brother 19 debuted on June 28 (2017), and Big Brother 18 got started with its first episode on June 22 (2016). Where will the new season fall? The 2019 calendar seems to have a prime candidate for Season 21 Episode 1.

If the producers and CBS want to stick with familiarity, then the season premiere will fall on a Wednesday again. This gives the program room for a two-hour episode, followed by a Thursday night eviction episode. It would work very similar to how the Big Brother 20 season played out.

Big Brother 21 schedule projection

A good season premiere date for the Big Brother 21 schedule is Wednesday, June 26. This would allow CBS to air a two-hour first episode, followed up by a second episode on Thursday, June 27. With this schedule, it would even allow a Sunday, June 30 episode, giving the network three primetime shows before the end of June. It could also hook viewers before the Fourth of July weekend.

No hints on a theme for BB21 cast

There had been several fan rumors about having a season of All-Stars for the next installment of the summer program. Nothing like that has been hinted at from production, even though host Julie Chen Moonves has stated in the past that she would like to see it happen. Since casting is reportedly already underway, that might suggest new houseguests are coming.

Before the next summer season even happens, CBS will present Celebrity Big Brother 2 in the winter. That will tide fans over until the following summer when some all-new houseguests could take center stage. As for when the official Big Brother 21 schedule will get revealed, it likely won’t come out until the new celebrity cast has had their time in the spotlight.
