Big Brother 11 took place in the summer of 2009, marking the eleventh season of the show. CBS rolled out only 30 episodes of the show that year, with 12 new houseguests being joined by one returner.

To start the Big Brother 11 season, the 12 new houseguests were placed in high school cliques. Each houseguest became a member of the Off-beat, Popular, Brains, and Athletes cliques. In the first competition, the winning clique would gain a fourth member, with that person becoming the first Head of Household for the summer.

Former houseguests Michael “Cowboy” Ellis for the Offbeat clique, Jessica Hughbanks for the Popular clique, Brian Hart for the Brains clique, and Jessie Godderz for the Athletes clique were the four eligible people. The Athletes, thanks to Natalie Martinez and Russell Kairouz, won, letting Jessie play the game again. Jessie had been evicted in Week 4 of Big Brother 10.

Big Brother 11 started out quite intense, with the first eviction vote coming down to a tie that had to be broken by HOH Jessie Godderz. Jessie had been given that title automatically by the Athletes winning the first competition. He used his HOH power to evict surfer Braden Bacha.

Big Brother 11 cliques

The first month in the BB11 house had the 13 houseguests playing in their cliques. Braden Bacha, Jordan Lloyd, and Laura Crosby were in the Popular clique. Casey Turner, Lydia Tavera, and Kevin Campbell were the Off-beat clique. Ronnie Talbott, Chima Simone, and Michelle Noonan were the Brains clique. Natalie Martinez, Jeff Schroeder, Russell Kairouz, and Jessie Godderz were the Athletes Clique.

The first two evicted houseguests were Braden and Laura, leaving Jordan as the only member of her team heading into Week 3. Somehow, she ended up surviving it, and then the cliques were dissolved. The showmance of Jordan and Jeff ended up turning them into targets later, but it was Jeff who went home when they were both left on the block.

Chima Simone gets expelled from the game

Houseguest Chima Simone was known for breaking the rules of the game, to a point where producers had to remove her from the reality competition. She complained about everything, threw her microphone in the hot tub, refused to do Diary Room sessions, and even covered up cameras. Due to breaking those rules and several others, she was expelled from the game. It led to the fans voting in her place as a BB11 jury vote.

Jordan Lloyd won the final Head of Household Competition, deciding to evict Kevin Campbell. This meant that Natalie Martinez would go to the final two with Jordan, leading it up to the seven-person jury deciding who would get the money. By a five to two vote, Jordan Lloyd became the Big Brother 11 winner. Since the show, Jordan and Jeff got married, had two kids, and have appeared on numerous television shows together.
