By Ryan Gamble
Big Brother 20 ratings for August 12 present some very impressive numbers for a Sunday night. Episode 21 of the summer 2018 season was definitely a time slot winner for the CBS production staff.
A final report on the Big Brother 20 ratings from Episode 21 has come in for CBS. The numbers are even better than expected. Despite a late start due to the CBS schedule for August 12 (episode began at 8:20/7:20 pm central), the numbers remained impressive. It continues to prove how the CBS audience wants to know what the BB20 cast is going to do next. It predicts even more shelf life for the reality competition series as well.
August 12 final ratings
A report from TV By the Numbers updated the August 12 ratings numbers and it caused the Big Brother 20 ratings to move up a tick. In the key demographic of viewers aged 18-49, Episode 21 drew a 1.6/8 mark for Sunday night. That was, by far, the biggest number of the night for any show, on any network. A deeper look at Big Brother 20 ratings
An estimated 5.74 million viewers tuned in for the August 12 episode. Those numbers are an improvement over what CBS drew the previous Sunday. For the August 5 episode, an estimated 5.57 million viewers tuned in. Episode 18 also received a 1.6/7 mark for viewers aged 18-45. This means that the numbers are trending up for the reality competition show, despite Rachel Swindler not being in the BB20 house any longer.
This is great news for the producers of the show and for the brass at the network. Typically, this is the time of the summer when television viewers are hard to find, no matter what network is airing a program. For the Big Brother 20 ratings to move up, it also shows that the Hacker Competition intrigues the viewers. Will those numbers hold up against the NFL in the coming weeks?
The next Big Brother 20 episode will take place on Wednesday, August 15. A preview of that episode has been provided by Inside the BB House.
