Big Brother 20 start date finally arrives on CBS with season premiere

Big Brother 20 buzz is finally going to lead to something for CBS viewers. The big day has arrived and it’s time for fans to see if the BB20 cast has “it” this summer.

The Big Brother 20 start date is Wednesday, June 27, with the CBS episode beginning at 8/7c. It is a two-hour season premiere and the first of two parts. Part 2 will air at 9/8c on Thursday, June 28, presumably wrapping up what begins on the first night.

There has been a bit of an information gap for Big Brother fans this summer. Typically, CBS and the producers reveal more information than this about an incoming cast and the summer theme. This time, though, there is a lot of mystery surrounding how the 20th anniversary will get celebrated.

In addition to the BB20 cast getting showcased on CBS, there are two companion shows for the summer 2018 season. As previously reported by Inside the BB House, After Dark returns to Pop and a new show debuts on Facebook Watch. Called Off the Block with Ross and Marissa, it serves as a weekly recap show. It debuts on Friday, June 29.

Can BB20 cast live up to the buzz?

There is a lot of pressure on the Big Brother 20 cast to be a great one this summer. The buildup has been taking place for a while and having a season of Celebrity Big Brother caused fans to really want the regular cast members back. Having a group of entirely new faces gives the network a lot of new people who could become stars. At the same time, though, it’s always a risk to move away from people that viewers recognize.

Now that the Big Brother 20 start date has arrived, it’s time to see what the casting director and production team have in store for viewers this summer. There will be a lot of debate on social media about how the BB20 cast stacks up against past seasons. Now it’s time to start guessing about which former houseguests might host some of the competitions.
