CBS invites fans to meet the cast of Celebrity Big Brother
By Ryan Gamble
CBS has invited fans to get to know the Celebrity Big Brother cast a bit better. A website has been set up with bios of the 11 new houseguests. This is where fans can learn more about who will be participating in the show this winter.
It was during the Grammy Awards on Sunday night (January 28) when viewers learned a lot about the new season. Taking advantage of two commercial breaks, CBS officially announced the 11 celebrities who have signed on for Big Brother: Celebrity Edition. Now the cast bios are available as well.
Surprising names in Celebrity Big Brother cast
There had been rumors for months about who might become part of the latest installment of the reality competition show. A lot of the names ended up being surprising to fans, though, in part because so many different names had been floating around social media.
So who will become a fan-favorite within the CBB USA cast? One name that keeps popping up is Ross Mathews. He spent time doing segments on The Tonight Show before holding the microphone at a number of red carpet premieres. As for the least-liked cast member, that may already be Omarosa. She spent time on The Apprentice before working for President Donald Trump in the White House.
Just over a week until the season premiere
CBS announced the full schedule for Big Brother: Celebrity Edition a while ago. The full schedule is here and the season premiere takes place on February 7. That’s a lot of time for fans to decide who they will be rooting for in the abridged version of the show.
Can it find the same rating success as Big Brother 19? Only time will tell. Until then, CBS will be rolling out a lot of promotional material. It’s likely that most CBS shows will have Big Brother commercials during them over the next week. That should really create a lot of buzz for this season.
