Will viewers tune in to Celebrity Big Brother?

The first season of Celebrity Big Brother in the U.S. premieres soon, but will television viewers tune in to the reality competition show this time? Departing from the regular format is a risk, therefore raising some questions about the rating numbers. The fan reaction on social media has been a bit mixed.
CBS has already revealed the full Celebrity Big Brother schedule and there are CBB USA cast predictions from former houseguests as well. The production team and CBS have kept many of the specific details under wraps, though, leading to a lot of unsubstantiated Big Brother rumors. That void of information has consequently led to a lot of online conjecture.
Will Celebrity Big Brother cast impress viewers?
The CBB cast is probably going to have a number of celebrities who aren’t immediately recognizable to many television viewers. It could also stretch the definition of a celebrity, almost guaranteeing that some of them will be former participants from other reality shows. Names from Jersey Shore, The Real Housewives, The Challenge, and even former Big Brother houseguests have come up.
Any viewer expecting to see people like Tom Hanks on the show will be disappointed. Denzel Washington, Kim Kardashian, and Jennifer Aniston won’t be appearing on Celebrity Big Brother either. This doesn’t mean the show won’t be intriguing.
When are details coming out?
The season premiere is on February 7. That means there is a lot of time before CBS has to reveal specifics to the viewers. The Big Brother Twitter account will likely serve as one of the main places for information disbursement. That follows how the show has been doing things for the past few years. A big CBB cast announcement might also take place on The Talk or during another CBS program. Maybe the 2018 Grammy Awards?
The winter season will be a short one. So, even if it doesn’t have big-name celebrities, it could be very interesting to watch. Besides, the season premiere of Big Brother 20 isn’t far off either. That means it won’t be long until a new cast is walking through the front doors of the Big Brother house. If Celebrity Big Brother becomes a hit, maybe it becomes a winter program every year.
